Which is the most important part of the body...Brain..Heart...lungs...Kidneys...Stomach...muscles...bones.......well honestly just the way normal life is not possible each and every part of the computer is extremely important....they all work as a single unit just like our body...of course in computers you always have upgrades and improvements in the performance of the parts unlike our body parts':)

We too have some parts which can be upgraded if they fails :-).Thanks for you comment. But suppose,if you've choice to upgrade your computer and you're short of money which part will you upgrade first?Given that whatever part you upgrade is compatible with your existing system.
Thanks again :-)

I think microprocessor is most important component in any Pc.because as we all know that without harddisk it is possible to utilize a systems utilities. although Main memory(RAM) is also a very important component yet not enough importance it has to beat microproceaaor.

Which part you choose to upgrade would depend on what you use your pc for most. I use mine for a lot of gaming, so i might grab an extra graphics card to use SLI. Then again I'm running low on HDD space so I could get another hard drive, but Im also still stuck with a single core CPU so I could get a new mobo with a dual core CPU. Hmmm.....

I think every part of the PC are the most important. There are several part that the most important:
1. CPU
2. Harddisk
3. Mainboard
5. keyboard
6. Power supply
7. monitor
8. video/agp card
Without any of those above, your PC will be useless.
Other accesories like mouse, sound card, network card and etc are for more purpose for the computer.
I hope you're agree with me.

It's like asking car is important or petrol is important! As car & petrol both are useless without each other, all computer components are important. This is not the right question.

Thanks for your comment. But,here it's not matter of right/wrong question. My question was "which component you feel is important in "Your" computer"?I am talking in general like which component is important? That is already understood that all parts are inter-related.
Moreover,as you said car is important or petrol. In that question,if we put a "you" in starting,Answers may vary then, coz someone may say that car is important as I don't run it from petrol.:-).And please take it lightly,no need to judge anything from one perspective only.:-)
Thanks again for your comment.

Well if its about the single component I will also say SMPS or else the power will not come to my PC and it will be all useless.

Well in that case, it would be the power supply. No PSU, nothing will even move

As all The Part Our Important for the computer to run
the most for me to be Able to Do what I need to get done would be the Processor
for if it was too slow then the rest of my pc would be slow and buggy
the memory would have to be high as well
the hard drive is good but i have lost all my data befor and not a big deal to me as most of my stuff is online any way backed up on disk as well
so thats my thouths on that

No unit in the computer is an independant unit.Every thing is important. From smps to the soundcard, from processor to ram all are important and equally necessary for the functioning. If i have to pick one then its definitely the SMPS .Its the rate limiting step.Without it a computer cant move ahead.
