anyone write poems?

where do you get your inspiration for a good poem? when i was younger and depressed i always wrote poems of self mutilating and death. and they were pretty good. but now when i try to write it's like i'm at a loss of words? what can i do to relax and get past this?

I used to write poems of any interest when I was still studying. It started when I was in high school and continue til college. However, when I started working and until now I don't write already. I keep a journal right now but not poems. However, I am planning to write again soon. The poem that I am able to make on a certain time depends on my mood or what's on my mind. However, when I am out or doing something else and if I can think of something important or key words, I am going to write it down so at least have a guide on what to write later when I want to do it already.
