Do you think it is reasonable to have a cellphone with camera? Personally, I found it very valuable as I can take pictures from myself when going to other places, and I can take pictures with my family and friends as well.
However, as I have noticed, if you carry a cellphone with camera now a days, you are not safe anymore especially when you are going to town, as there are many snatchers out there who will try to snatch it and may likely kill you if you are hesitant to give it to them.

Braveheart07, I believe cellphones with camera is very important because it is very useful. It is also very useful if the cellphone also ha some video features. Having those features make life convenient. Imagine, you don't have to bring a camera or a video camera (handycam) anymore since you already have them all with your cellphone.

I have a cellphone with a camera, but I keep it in my purse. I live in Canada and our data fees or internet fees for cellphones are quite high, and so I have not used my camera yet. I feel if you are careful, and do not let anyone know you have a cellphone on you, the thieves will not bother you.
But if you have your cellphone in your hand all the time or have it in its cover and the cover slipped over your skirt, then they will know and try to get it away from you.

I already had one and I have to say after firt few days i was barely using it. It's a nc egadget and it may be usefull at times but overall I don't think cellphone should be all-in-one kind of item. Camera, termometer, calendar, organizer etc. etc. it's nice but I rather have something that doesn't need to have it's battery recharged every two days. now i have simple Nokia with basic of basics features plus radio as an extra and I'm happy with it.

Its generally a good thing to have a camera on your phone id say, but....
Im camera shy, and I hate that everyone and his grandma can snap a pic at me without me knowing or seeing that it happens.
Too many ppl just snap the pictures, especially when they know you dont like it.

A cell phone with camera is very handy in taking pictures of those precious moments when a regular camera is no available... mine has a camera but it is already 2 years old... and there are a lot of new models with better resolution... i think those are the brands that would attract the eye of snatchers...
The best thing is to always be on the guard...

I had a cellphone with camera and how like many ppl said, is good to get unexpected moments, that when you see, if you not have a camera near you stay without the registration, so with a cellphone is just easy. But a camera is different from a cellphone camera, the resolution and resources of a camera are better than cellphone so is like just you rate the situations that you want a best content photo or a best quality photo.

It is not only about the camera, i love to have as many features in a single device like camera. this will help to avoid carrying multiple ones for different purposes. Also just like you, I can take snaps as and when I want to.

No I don't.I don't have a cell phone and right now I don't think I need one.And all those features on cell phone are nice, but do we really need them?i have digital camera by itself and I carry it all the time I go somewhere. So I don't think i would need one in my cell phone.

It's a nice / funny thing to have a camera in my mobile phone, but it's not a must for me. I love taking pictures so I got a great digital camera - the one in my mobile isn't that good only 2Mpix.

I was quite enamored when I found I could get one,but then, after the first download of pictures from New Years,I found out the .50 cent charge for each picture,I stopped using it.
If something very important came up,I would use it,but not a lot.
Great question.

Aside from not being safe, people here in our country used to think that these technologies are the means of social stability. If you possess one with camera, it means that you're one of those "elites" in the society. It's really frustrating and disappointing as well, since there are other important things to splurge on instead of these cellphones. Also, it's becoming a trend that cellphone users would record their illicit affairs (sexcapades) using their built cellphone cams and spread it on public through bluetooth.
Back then, I used to dream of having three cellphones (wall with cameras), imagine that?!LoL But I realized that it is not healthy, mentally and financially to focus too much on it. I always think that it'd be cool, that I belong to THEM. But good thing I have thought well about it, I don't need these things as long as I have a cellphone which functions accordingly to it's primary use and that is to receive and send Calls/SMS/text messages.

My cellphone has a camera, and it is nice to be able to take pictures of yourself and your family and friends without having to bring a camera. It's good for when there are things that happen that you don't expect. When I go on trips though, I usually bring another digital camera for better pictures.
I don't think that snatchers only target cellphones with cameras though. Some snatchers even take the simple phones, others target the victim's money. And still others want to take everything from you. But I try not to think about these things because if I always think that I'm not safe outside, I wouldn't be going out with anything anymore.
