A lot of people are good writers. But sometimes they can write some things better than others, like they write better plays than stories. Personally, I am good at writing reports, articles etc. But I am not very good at writing letters. Dunno why, but I don't like writing letters that much anyway.
What about you?

I want to be good at writing product and website reviews.
I've been practicing hard on my various blogs.

I like writing reviews, but I get a little bit..um...brutal. I tried to keep up with a blog, but it wasn't worth it.

I have been told that I am good at writing stories, and poems. But I lack discipline to actually do it. Once I get going I really love it, but I seem to need a hand in getting me going!

Hehe, I'm the came way sometimes. I get a good idea, and i really want to do something, but I'm just to lazy. But once I get started I do alot. I can't write stories all at once for some reason, I have to take breaks. I guess my head gets overloaded =P
Thanks for your reply rpek2000! And welcome to myLot!

I am good at writing novels. I can make up stories, but I go on and on and on. One things leads to another, the hero or heroine fixes one thing, and then something else goes wrong, and then on the top of it all, there is this gang of real bad guys or girls or both, and their leader is something like the Boss characters in those video games.

i like to write non fiction and find that i am better at doing that than fiction. In regards to fiction, i often wonder how much dialogue is good, whether the storyline seems goofy or not whereas with non fiction, it is fairly cut and dried...as friday said on dragnet 'just the facts ma'am'...

I would love to be a novelist or write childrens books, but my best writing seems to be at poems. Poems are kind of like a short journal, they are very personal and always come straight from my heart.

I love poetry, and I can write Haikus (sp?) and things, but I can't really write poetry for some reason. I have a hard time getting my emotions to flow that way, they're just everywhere. I love reading it though.

For me my emotions are always easy to write on paper, but not so easy to say!

So far I seem to notice that I tend to write very well with articles. Most of mine are on Associated Content. The main subjects I tend to write on are sports and wrestling. I seem to be able to do better and get some decent views and offers.
I don't know why though but I can't complain. I just try to find something good to write about and then hopefully generate a lot of page views.

Yes, I like writing, even though I don't consider myself to be a good writer, but I think I am better writing about practical things, rather than stories. As far as letters, well I like writing personal ones, in which case what is important is the person I am writing to rather than the letter itself!

I like writing whatever is in my head usually. Sometimes it can be completely random and other times not so much. Lately I've been using more vocabulary and specific details to thing that wouldn't normally have details on it. I like sarcasm a lot but it doesn't always get through in writing.

Well I don't know if I'm good at it but many times I have this huge will to write stories or poems in English. Me neither I hate to write letters, invitations or other formal writings. Many people say that you have only one strong talent but that wrong. From our talent we develope others interests that in time they become passions and without knowing when or how we have gain many talents. Evolution is faster than we believe it is.

I am much better at writing fiction than non-fiction, so guess what I have to write more often--yeah, that is right, non-fiction. I still go into spasms at the idea of writing term papers (fifth semester of college), but I am getting better at it, so the panic is not as bad this time around. The only non-fiction that I consider myself good at is writing about the occult and the esoteric Order of the Golden Dawn, in part because I have been a member for fifteen years. As for personal letters, I rather write on my blog I have discovered.

I started out writing poems. Than later on switched over to writing songs. I discovered that writing songs was my passion; even though my poems were good. So I've been writing songs every since.

I do best at writing informative articles that involve research. I like to write about dogs and other pets, gardening, health issues, alternative therapies, parenting, and a few other subjects that interest me. Never been any good at fiction, but I do write a little poetry. I used to love writing letters but I haven't written too many lately.

I am good at writing what is in my head...things that I feel strongly about or are passionate about. I have very nice handwriting and love to write letters but have a hard time remembering what I write from one letter to the next and end up repeating myself.

In all my years of upbringing and education, I've been more slanted towards the Sciences than Arts. I'm therefore not really good at writing novels. I'm a more structured person, so my strengths are more in report writing, writing guidelines, guidebooks, research articles - generally those things which dwell on factual things or logical reasoning/arguments. I'm ok with letters too.
