There has been a lot of talk in the local papers (I live in Bridgewater, Massachusetts) about casinos. There is an indian tribe that wants to build a casino in Middleboro, MA. Some of the town people are against it and some are for it. I've heard some say that they would move if it comes to town.
I now that if it comes it is going to forever change the small town farm type town. I don't think I would want a casino down the street from me. The crowds, the noise, the traffic. What if you have young children. I wouldn't feel safe with the extra people having them play outside.
If a casino was going to be built down the street from where you life, would you consider moving?

On a different note a casino would generate more jobs, however personally speaking the cons would outweigh the pros, because gambling shouldn't be encouraged, it leads to addiction, dependency, stealing and worse, people bet what they can't afford and it affects families of the gambler that's the worst possible scenario. If one was built in my town I wouldn't move because there are worst places than casinos, casino's don't invite trouble like nightclubs and bars do, even junk food restaurants create trouble. I do understand where you are coming from.
