Have you ever had a nickname/pet name for someone that they didn't understand and/or got upset at? I have. A few years ago, I started calling my little sister "Brat" and she absolutely hated it. She thought I was calling her that name in a bad, insulting way when really, it was a just a term of affection for her. It took about 6 months or so, but finally, she realized that when I called her Brat, I wasn't being mean. She now just takes it like a normal nickname. So, have you ever had a nickname for someone that they didn't get and/or got upset at? Did that ever happen with a nickname that someone had for you?

Yes I hae a nickname I started calling my cousin lately it is Birt she hates it. And when I was little my dad called me Heavy because I had a lot of problems with my health. Then I got healthy and started to gain weight so he started calling me that and he is still doing it and I hate it.

i like giving nicknames but i cant remember anything that made someone upset. with my previous work i used to call someone "babsie" which for me means, a cute pig, because he was so tall and chubby. ^__^;; he took it nicely but he gave me a nickname too which is "babskie", which for him was the female version of "babsie". but im not fat mind you. LOL
i do however, call names some people which i dont like. ^__^;; if they learned about those nicknames, they will definitely get upset! LOL
