My daughter in only a kindergarten. But I make it a point to review her even before her exams. I painstakingly do it so she will have a good foundation and develop a very good study habit. As parents, our children needs guidance in their studies because even they are being thought inside the classroom, they did not always get their lessons. So we need to follow it up. That is what I notice with my daughter. She did not understand some of her lessons although they are already finished in studying it. Do you do the same?

I always tried to get my daughter to learn for tests, by helping her learn new spelling words, etc. She always resisted lkearning for tests in primary school, because they don't have many, & she always found it far too easy. Now she is in high school, she has found that she needs to learn for tests, especially in science. I have learnt a lot too by helping her. What age is your child in kindergarten? Kindergarten is far too young to be giving them tests.

When my son was at a primary school, my wife used to review him for his daily homework and his exams as well, but not after he went to junior high school as it was much more difficult for her to help review him for his lessons for her. But she urges him to finish his lessons that are assigned by his teachers every day. It really helps a lot for the kid if the parents help review the child for their study and exams.
