bad habit

I have this bad habit of listening with my headphones really loud that I feel that I'm starting to hurt my eardrums. I am quite sensitive to minute sounds, probably I'm just one of those highly sensitive people who can hear a lot of stuff at the same time. But this bad habit of mine happens everytime I can hear people talking that psychologically affects me, thus, my defense mechanism is to deafen myself...literally. Afterwhich, I'd feel bad for hurting myself. I really should stop this bad habit. I guess this is just a coping mechanism just like smoking a cigarette to feel better or even drugs for that matter. I don't smoke or do drugs thus, I deafen myself. But I realize they somehow can be in one category...one that hurts oneself. Well, how do I cope when I can be too sensitive, I guess a decision to be not that sensitive at times or I'd rather skim to channel the energy outward, or release it through music. I gotta learn to play the violin (my dream instrument to play) sometime soon.:)

loud sounds especialloy using some earphones inour ears will damage our ear drums and will cause a permanent damage. we should not keep using earphone and listen to music. instead we should listen to radio and not listen to gadgets like ipod which was found out to cause ear infections and ear damage. there are lot of scientific results showing by using earphones really cause damage in our ears.
