She's the lieutenant, vice captain whatever you want to call it of Zaraki's squad... Yeah her, the short pink haired cute one with a bad sense of direction... I've been wondering pretty much ever since she was introduced in the show. Does she hold her position simply because Zaraki wants it that way or is she actually qualified to be there? I mean she never*does* anything when it comes to combat, other than ride around on Kenpachi's shoulder of course. But she was shown as being able to keep up with those banished dudes in Memories of Nobody, and the majority of the squads outright terrified of making her mad. And I mean she's got to be somewhat strong to have become a shinigami right? Any ideas?

she can fight for sure, remember that episode when she watch kenpachi fighting ichigo? she has a killer instinct when a shinigami disturb her. well, we know that she was adopted by kenpachi and i suppose she is also being trained by him.

i thought at first she's Zarakis' doll! lol. the kawaii-neechan hanging on zaraki's shoulder and loves to eat ice cream with no sense of direction! lol. i adore her!she's the cutiest thing on bleach aside from kyon's miseries. i believe thats she's strong. soul society was strict and i also believed that she was not vice-captain pro bono.

I kind of assume that as well, it's just that if anyone is going to ignore certain rules Kenpachi's probably the only one who's going to get away with it. :p

isn't she just kawaii??? ^__^ i love yachiru! i don't have any idea of how she got in her position and i haven't also proven if she is really that strong to make those squad members terrified of making her angry. but for sure she is really strong or else, Zaraki wouldn't completely trust her right? even if she has a bad sense of direction, she still says some good words once in a while. ^__^;; and then i think, the creator made her like that to provide comic relief. ^__^

I don't know her that much but I know that she's very fast and that she has no sense of direction like kenpachi and is very scary when angry.

Yeah that's the question I was thinking of. Since she's never actually fought anyone, unless she has in the manga, I haven't read any of that past chapter one or two. n_n;
