Based on the situations now in our government and overall surroundings, Philippines might look depressing and has no hope of catching up, like being a girl with a permanently wrinkled face in a company of beautiful young men and women. For me, I would still be a Filipino, because if I, a Filipino, would not stand, who else will stand for the Philippines? I may be just one of the billions of people on Earth, but still a single move can reach lightyears. Like a single droplet, if dropped from a very high spot, may feel immense pain, but still, when it falls, he can make a ripple that can shake the whole ocean.

dont kill me for this. ^__^;;
if i were to be born again i'd like to be born in Japan as a true blooded Japanese. ^__^ not that i dont love the Philippines and not proud as a Pinoy.
i love Philippines and im proud to be a Pinoy. especially when we talk about our history and it says there that our country is the first in the world (or is that in asia? :p) to revolt against its conquerors and the first to show nationalism and patriotism. Our country may not be currently perfect but there's no perfect country and there are countries much worse than us. ^__^;; we have a lot to be proud of as much as we have things to be embarrassed for.
but given a chance, i would like to live and experience being a Japanese. i just see their country as very interesting with their traditions and cultures. and being a person who always dream of trying new things every now and then, i would like to experience something new, and being a Japanese is on top of my list. ^__^ and i think if i get enough of Japan, i would want to go back and live as a Filipino. LOL there's no place like home afterall.

Philippines is still one of those safest places in the world, with less troubles to worry at when walking on streets. I'd be still be a filipino, because I know that we still have hope. Even those who works and already lived abroad, would still prefer to go back here.
All we need is discipline, continue promoting and supporting our own products and create opportunities. With all these done, I believe that our country will have a better and bright future..

Yes, I also hear stories about the Philippines being a better place to live in, and that other countries are good for the eyes only. But still, I sometimes read from foreigners that they would not ever live in the Philippines. Maybe because they haven't seen enough yet, they just saw the traffic jams, garbages around, the pollution, etc.

I still loved to be a filipino..
One: filipino men are great lovers[though some are jerks..excuse me!]hehehe.
two: the culture is so diversed[think of the traditions and beliefs we have!]
three: Filipino women are the greatest women in the world![including me. LOL!] they move heaven and earth for their love ones! wahahaha!

Don't you think other countries also have men that loves great(like the ones we watch in koreanovelas, jdoramas, etc.), a culture so diversed (like Japan, Korea, Spain, etc.), and loveable women(like what we watch in shows from other countries)? I think you need more reasons. Well, thanks for sharing!
