Wow quite lame discussion i must say. But really, what do you think movies that can move your heart. I mean that can make you cry your heart out for laugh at it. Movies that you will never forget after few months. Kind of movies that will still ring in your heads for its scene or songs. Share your story with me here. For me, I would say A Walk to Remember. That made me cry a lot. And for the one that i will never forget, Transformers. Why ? Because its scene just amazing, and how they manage to show the fighting in sky that's awesome.

There have been a lot of movies that have really touched me. One of the ones that's had the most profound moments for me was Mr. Holland's Opus. First of all, I'm a musician, so it touches me on that level -- and seeing music and art being cut from schools breaks my heart. I also studied sign language and have known some deaf people, so that aspect of the movie had a really cool connection. Most profound was Mr. Holland himself. He starts out not giving much of a d@mn about teaching but in the end he touches the students and has an impact on the person they will become. I had a music teacher just like that in high school. He was a great friend and always inspired and pushed me.

It has some music in it. It's about a man who is a musician and takes a job as a high school music teacher. It spans several decades of his career and shows him evolving as a teacher from someone who just shows up everyday into someone who cares tremendously about his students. There's also his family, in the course of hte movie he and his wife have a baby who turns out to be deaf, which is somewhat devastating for a musician...

I think it was The X-Files and back to the future.
It is science fiction movie. It moves my heart where it makes me thinking to understand what he is talking about and why is that? So I relates to the maths, science/chemistry/physic and biology that I learned from school.
It makes me believe that there are many kind of things that we (human, the most intelligent species on earth), still have not known. Even though we have discover lots of things but out there, there are still billions questions unanswered.

For me the first movie that has ever movied my heart was Beaches.. Now that I am older I read the book and had a more unerstanding for it.. I cried at the thought of having a best friend so close to you and one day everything changes and she is gone.. Sad Story But during the whole movie you are laughing at the experience these two girls have with each other.. So you sob your heart out at the end.. Excellent movie and book..

The movie, in recent times, that most moved me was that one about the dogs left at the Antartica. I think it was called "Eight Below". I was devastated, & by half way through the Movie I started crying, & couldn't stop for the rest of the movie.

Wow, wow, wow...There are so many movies that has really moved me or touched my heart. Recently, I saw The Bridges of Madison County starring Clint Eastwood and Meryl Streep. Both of them did an amazing job. Fabulous and mind boggling. Some how Clint Eastwood has this uncanny ability of picturing human emotions and behaviour in such fine detail, you feel sometimes as if I'm watching myself and my emotions and my thoughts over there. Obviously, this movie has been based on a book. But seldom does anyone make a fabulous book into a great movie. The amount of intensity, passion and love and the chemistry they created on screen was really moving and I cried like anything. It made me think a lot.
Obviously, there is the old time classic The Bicycle Thief which speaks about a simple man who gets a job but to keep that job he needs a bicycle and gets one. So, his bicycle gets stolen on the very first day of his job and then the whole movie rolls around how he tries to get it back. This is one flawless movie which stands a class apart from every other film and remains a legend to this day.

I have watched a lot of movies that really moved my heart but right now, the movie that strikes me is Pursuit of Happyness. I think that is the best touching movie of 2007 with Will Smith and his son performing so naturally.
The movie is such an inspiration about how we should not lose our confidence and hope at whatever point of time in life, because only that can lead to success.
Even the Shawshank redemption was a great movie. It depicted the importance of hope in such a beautiful manner and Morgon Freeman acted very well in the movie.
Also, a beautiful mind, starring russel crowe was also a very good touching movie.
