I've got a friend who doesn't like being massaged. She says it makes her feel ticklish all over.
I, on the contrary, LOVE being massaged. On our honeymoon, my hubby and I went to a spa in Bali and we had the most RELAXING full-body massage right next to each other, followed by a dip in the bathtub filled with aromatic flower petals. I LOVE it.
How about you guys? Do you like being massaged or are you like my friend who finds it "annoying"?
I think massages are addictive. What do you think? ;-D

Hi,
I do like to get massaged. For me it is part of relaxation and also a freshness is felt after that. I do also like it from those who are do it well. It is also know that too of massage for lose anad unhard body also loosen the the vains and the body tissue that makes one's body get more damaged. Hence I do mostly like to prefer it from those who are experts in massage and a casual massage is accepted from others.

I've never had a proper massage before although I would love to have one right now. I am so tired and so stressed out the moment that there would be nothing better than to just sit or lie back and relax. I think it is good.

Hi, 8ctavarium,
Sorry to hear about your tiredness and stress. Yeah, a good massage would be VERY therapeutic for you at this time. Hope you can find other ways to relax and let go of your stress, though!

A massage is one of the pleasures that love to indulge in.
Professional massage is expensive but oh so good :):) The last time I had it done like that was over 10 years ago.
Meanwhile, while I can't afford it, we make do with what we have. Me and hubby make our own spa and our own massage :)Down to the bathtub filled with aromatic oils.

Yeah, that's true arkaf...professional massage is OH SO GOOD! I'm drooling already just by remembering how good it felt LOL LOL!!!
Yeah, we also can't afford it often. It's good that you and your hubby make your own spa and massage. It's VERY intimate as well. YUMMY!!! ;-D Too bad we have no bathtub...well, maybe someday then he he he...

I actually finished massage therapy school right as I conceived basically. So I'm a great fan. However, I don't like having them. I'm fine normally, but its actually uncomfortable and even painful to have a massage. My muscles are too frozen I guess. I do need it as I have thickened fascia right below my neck from looking down at books and computers and such. I need about two massage a week in order to break up the fascia. I'm one of those people who will need a lot of work before they're enjoyable.
My friend from school is going to give me a hot stone massage sometime this week or next, that actually should be nice. I need to get my national certification - she gets 50-80 an hour. She met some guy from the movie 300 - I haven't see nit so I didn't recognize the name. Another graduate, Crystal is Jennifer Lopez's therapist - I never met Crystal - she graduated before me - just saying its a great vocation in a lot of ways! If you love them so much - you should consider getting a grant and going to school, you can do trades with students at school and after - and like many therapists - you can trade later for Personal Training and things.
Massage Therapy is good for depression, anxiety, weight loss, muscle tension, headache, sickness prevention. So many things!
Okay, enough rambling!

Thickened fascia is um thickened tissue, a rounding.
Thanks for the luck wish - its a hard test. Its one thing to do well in school, and another on a high pressure test!
The only reason she is meeting movie stars is because we are kind of friends with the teachers and they have connections. And Kate is good at her job. Although I'd love to have a fly in/fly out resort in the desert - for relaxation boot camp - I'm content to have regular clients. I want to take other relaxation therapies - like movement therapy and hypnosis as well as talk therapy. I want to have an office in the house.
Read up on it- there are a few reasons for the weight loss, to do with the lymph nodes, circulation - and also the alleviation of stress - for stress releases cortizal which adds to body fat.
It is a great trade. IF you're single, you can work on cruise ships or resorts. Most resorts requiere a six month committement - which means you can either stay or travel the world - going from resort to resort. Or you can just work with pregnant people, or sports people - or teaching baby massage to caretakers or parents of babies. With the last - you get money from an entire group - and its not physically tiring at all - you show them how to do it on a doll!
ITs great to help people.

OK, I'll read up on it later on when it comes to weight loss. ;-D THX!!! ;-D
WOW!!! Travelling around the world from resort to resort sounds FANTASTIC!!! ;-D Getting money from an entire group by showing them all how to massage "dolls" sounds promising to me. No wonder you're serious about this enterprise he he he... and yes, helping people is great indeed! :-))))

For me, I find it relaxing and enjoyable. Working is creating some stress in us and at some point we need to relax our veins and give our whole system the pampering it deserves.
Physically and mentally, it helps!

Oh yes...I absolutely LOVE massages...and yes I could develop an addiction to them if I had enough money to feed my habit on a regular basis. Thankfully my hubby as magically healing hands and gives great massages and foot rubs..so between that my bubble jet bath tub...and a basic infra red sauna...I can have a spa experience right at home any time.
Your experiences of Bali during you honeymoon sound soooooo delightful. What a wonderful way to enjoy each other in a romantic, sensual and relaxing setting. Sounds pretty close to heavenly alright. Hope you can have more of the same...and I certainly plan to make something like that happen for my Sweetie and me too.
Take care...have fun...and of course relax with massage as often as possible!
Warmest regards,
Raia

Yes, I have been familar with the massage girls and a couple of men who give a very strong massage.
The massage is part of our medical treatment ..Physical Therepy and it is done on a weekly bases or daily bases depending on your problem.
I have had hydro colonics an barrium inema added to the x=rays..
Hot mineral oil is good and so is hot rocks or other materials..
This something the company had as a perk since the founder.l

Hello Ailema,
Oh yes!! I love a massage. My hubby gives the best ones too! He really does have some skilled hands. Im thinking this is partly because he cares for horses and at times they too need a good massage on tired, sore and trained muscles.
I have a terrible back, and last year I fell during the winter time on some ice. I was so thankful for him and his hands! He would set up a nice place for me to lie down, light some candles and then use lots of lotions to rub me from my neck down to each of my toes. Of course it didnt cure my back, but it sure did make me feel very relaxed and feeling much better than I had been.
I agree with you, I too think they are addictive as well. I could really get lost when Im getting a good massage, especially from my hubby! :)

Hi Ailema!
Yes horses need much care and attention when they are bred for racing. Their muslces get sore just like ours do and they need massages and swims to relax. You want a race horse to be comfortable and healhty. They are really a lot like humans and take some of the same medicince as humans do only in much larger amounts.
Luckily I have not broke any bones falling on ice. Im so sorry to hear about your friend. Yes, you have to be careful when its icy outdoors. Thats why I just try to stay indoors! HEHE
Have a good day!! Bay xx

Hey, Bay!
Ahhhh...THX for the info about race horses. I had NO idea about this at all he he he...They also take the same medicine as humans do? WOW!!!
Phew! Glad to hear you haven't broken any bones falling on ice. I hope NEVER!!! Gladly my friend knows Reiki, so she could also help heal herself other than do some physiotherapy. Yeah, staying inside when there's ice outside is the best way out he he he he he...
Have a good day yourself!!!!

OOHHHHH...you're SO VERY LUCKY!!!! ;-D Yeah, that's true...probably he's good at it 'coz he's been taking care of horses. Gee, I didn't even know that horses needed massage!!!
Oh dear...I'm SORRY to hear about your back. That's why I'm SCARED walking on ice. Snow? Yes, please, but ice? No, thank you very much. A friend of mine also broke her arm 'coz she fell on ice. YIKES!!! Well, at least it's a blessing that your hubby can help you massage your back! ;-D
Yeah, I can imagine your getting lost when your hubby massaged you...it's moer intimate and special that way he he he...
Take care!!! THX for sharing! ;-D

I love being touched, preferable just being gently stroked (hoping to come back in life as a well loved kitty) Especially my back, oh i love it. Though like your friend sometimes it can be just a bit too sensitive and i have to stop my partner. He thinks it's great when i'm like that, because i'm squirming around and my back arches into itself-it's just too much lol

I get deep tissue massages twice a month for my back problems. This kind of massage hurts, but after a few days my back feels great! I've always felt funny about massage...thought it was too weird... but now I love it! I would never get a full body massage though. A bit too personal for me! A friend of mine told me that sometimes they even massage your chest! No thanks to that!

Hello ailema4ever,
I am like your friend. It is not because I feel ticklish or annoying when being massaged but I just don't like others to touch my body (excluding my husband of course!) I just don't know why I don't feel comfortable with it. After giving birth to my baby, my mother 'ordered' me to get massage so that my body will get back to normal (in all aspects!) I tried to avoid it but to no avail. The very first time I experienced that, I was like uh-ha-uh and so on. I really hate the feeling!
