I've been having strange dreams lately. I haven't been myself in them. In the dreams I feel as if I've stepped into someone else's life for the duration of the dream. I used to have these as a kid. Kind of like possession dreams but not demons.
These are the kind of dreams I get specific details, usually numbers (why numbers, since numbers are not my thing) but sometimes names. I wake up and repeat it to myself since I'm too tired to write it down - but usually fortet. Like in one, there was a 'character' named Sam whose real name was Jim or James Graley and he owned a few business' as I think his family did as well. Only his weren't as 'serious' as theirs. And I think I knew at the time of the dream that he was just going to school and hadn't started them I think. He liked a girl from a troubled family - A mom and two sisters. These other family members did thing to the extreme, drank, had $ex with rock stars and ate a lot. She was overweight - slightly - but a lot by standards of her high school. THis guy, a popular guy could have his pick but chose her - at first. Until he caved in - I think because an ex claimed pregnancy. I guess you likely didn't want the details. I just think its cool I remembered that much - as since I stopped keeping a dream notebook I remember hardly anything - and back when I recorded them, I remembered detailed from like four or five dreams a night.
Yesterday's dream involved a fire - and another at the beginning of the week involved a haunting. Strange stuff. I really need to start writing my dreams again.
What about you? What was your dream last night - do you remember? Have you been having strange dreams lately?

My hubby can sometimes remember dreams so vividly. I also remember many dreams, though not too detailly.
Last night I remember one dream among the others that I had. I remember having more than one dream 'coz I peed twice during the night and when I woke up, it was usually when I was having a dream he he...
Last night I dreamt of being in my parents' house again. There my Mom wanted to renovate the house, so she asked the construction fellows to start it with the toilet and bathroom, so they did. They started undoing the toilet and the bathroom and I got angry 'coz I wanted to pee so badly and because they crashed both the toilet and the bathroom at the same time, I had nowhere to go.
It was such a weird dream, but in the end I realized that I DID want to pee in real life, so I woke up to pee ha ha ha ha ha...

I have had dreams that center around the bathroom like crazy and then I wake up and had to pee too! Sometimes I wake up and say, okay, I'm going to go in a minute, just one minute - then I fall asleep again to dream of peeing!

Hi, artemis!
Yeah, I've had several other dreams about having to pee and I couldn't find a good toilet hi hi hi...It seems that it's our subconscious way of telling us that our bladder's full, eh? ;-D

Yep, I've had those dreams, searching in vain for a toilet, or finding ones that aren't working or something. I guess you're right, our mind is saying, wake up and go already!

My dream journal is collecting dust so I've only been able to recall bits and pieces of my most current dreams. I've been fortunate to have had prophetic dreams. The last one actually involved 3 series of recurring dreams: one about a man named Benjamin who was my husband many years past, a dream about an empty white apartment with a view of the ocean and a dream about a man named James who was helping me in an enormous city that I assumed to be LA. This dream also involved finding a relic that symbolized truth.
In 2004 I moved to Vancouver BC to see if I preferred Canadian culture. I decided that I wanted to live in Gastown (the oldest section of Vancouver). When I went to Gastown to look for a rental, I immediately recognized the area even though I had never seen it before. During my apartment hunting I was scheduled to see a loft that was on the 5th floor. When I walked into the loft all I could say was OMG! The loft was white, empty and had a view of the Burrard Inlet.
I began to meet the locals in the neighborhood. Gastown can be a little rough so there's security guards as it's also a tourist area. I got to know a security guard named Dale and we became fast friends. We were comparing driver's licenses one day and when I looked at the name on his license I just about fainted. You got it, Benjamin James! Dale and I also have duplicates of many things we own... marble candle holders, similar vases, antique blankets, pictures, etc. The connection we have with each other is unexplainable and defies logic. Anyway, as much as I love Dale, I decided to move back to the states. I'm an Americanized Canadian and I prefer the USA. I decided to move to an area that I have wanted to return to for 25 years. I rented a house and there above the fireplace was the relic in my dream. I've come to the conclusion that we should never underestimate the power of our dreams.

Did you ask the owners of the house if you could buy the relic?

I have very vivid detailed dreams as well. Sometimes I am not myself and sometimes I am not even female. I have turned some of them into short stories. I had two dreams that I can remember last night. In one I was home with my parents trying to figure out something wear that would cover up the tattoo that I had just gotten. (in real life I have no tattoos and my parents would so disapprove if I did). In the other, I went with a friend to watch her try out for gymnastics (as far as I know this friend has never participated in gymnastics ever. I also had my cats with me which was very odd.

i don't dream often. one dream that i had that was really cool and looks real was a decade ago or something.i don occasionally dream still about once or twice a month but almost all of my dreams now don't have meaning or doesn't really matter at all. it just like dreaming i bought something or am eating something. those simple dreams that don't have really any meaning at all. but yours is totally different.
i don't know why i don't dream much. that
s the way i am. but it's nice to dream sometimes especially if it's a nice dream. dream like you have reached your goal or you arel iving your dream life is a nice dream. hope that i will ble to get that kind of dream.

REaching your goals is living or realizing your dreams. You know, you actually do dream, you don't remember it in the morning. Dreaming is actually an important process. Its thought that when we go through dream sleep, it is cementing the learning and memory process- especially for babies who sleep sixteen hours a day.
You have not remembering dreams in common with my husband. He very rarely remembers dreams.

Hi artemis, I know that I dream because we dream all the time, but it's been a while since I remembered anything. At one time I started writing my dreams, and found that it really helped me remember. I gave it up, but maybe I should start again. I've never had a dream like the one you describe though. Blessings.
