Do you use yahoo messenger to chat?

yes we have yahoo messenger to chat, but only to friends and family. I never go into chat rooms to chat

I have a friend who lives about 2000 miles away now and we use Yahoo Messenger. We don't chat very often, just every couple of weeks or so. Yahoo Messenger can be used for good purposes and also bad. I get alot of *spam* messeges on my messenger. I just block them from doing it again.

I have AOL as my ISP so I use AIM that comes with the use of AOL. I had problems many many yeARS AGO WITH yAHOO AND DO NOT CARE TO USE IT. happy postings from grandpa bob !!~

When I chat I do use yahoo messenger. They have great features. But lately I've been too busy to chat online. I use yahoo messenger to chat with friends. Your right, some people do abuse the chat rooms and I hate it too, thats why I no longer go into chat rooms.

hello claire, you have already given a very nice and precise explanation regarding chatting.so i don't have anything left to say about it.i do use yahoo messenger for chatting.but that is only with my friends and relatives.i never ever visit the chat rooms.the reason is what you said.the bad and abusive words and all those indecent behaviour the strangers whow towrads you.i can stand those things as i am very sensitive and i will break out immediately. the first time i went into the chat room out of fun and it was an excitement as i was using messenger newly,it was totally a bad episode.so i never dare to do that again.even i deleted all those stranger's usernames from my list.now i chat only with my friends most of whom are miles away from me.sometimes i do use headphones for voice chatting but haven't used a webcam yet.you can say i don't have the courage to do so,especially after hearing a lot about spamming over internet. yahoo messenger indeed have a lot of features.the most favorite is the smileys to express emotions.thats what i like most.and another thing is it has got a buzz facility which i don't find neither in gtalk,or rediffbol or anything alternative.so certainly yahoo messenger has got a lot of popularity over other chat programs.

Thanks Claire for your nice words and good advice about chatting online. It is normal things now, where good stuffs being misuse or abusively done by end users. It is just like a knife, good thing to have and use but there are culprits out there who like to use it to kill innocent people. Anyway I use Yahoo Messenger for chatting and had tried other providers, but I am more on Yahoo Messenger. It really user friendly for me. Regarding the stranger, so far I can still handle them and I always trace them by location where they originate from. yes i use yahoo messenger to chat.its a good chat messenger with lot of features.i also use rediffbol somtimes.

I do use yahoo messenger i talk to my friends on there and some that i have meet online I have never had any problems with yahoo chatting I hope i never do :)

most of my friends and relatives has a yahoo messenger account so i use YM to chat with them. i chat with strangers on line but with no camera, and if i need to chat with friends and family i make it appoint to be available to that person so there wll nobody bugging me while chatting with my friends or relatives.

I use yahoo messenger to talk to my daughter who lives in Colorado every day. I also keep in touch with friends with it too. It is a great way to communicate and since it is free it save on those long distance phone bills.

I use msn....yahoo and aol.....so I keep busy with all my friends and family on the messengers...it's convient as my kids live all over and it's a quick cheap means to keep in touch.

Yes, I use Yahoo Messenger to chat when I want to contact my friends. I used it a lot before joining mylot, but not now, only once in a while. Most of the time I would like to use email for communication with each other.

Chatting is a great way to communicate to anyone in the world, and stranger... no one can get away from this. I used yahoo messenger since 8 years ago and it works pretty good tho. I have some rules when I chat online; first, I dont show my picture or webcam to someone that I just know(only family or close friend that I know for a long time). Second, I dont do voice chat unless I have really important thing to talk about. Third, I dont view any webcam from anyone that I just know and no matter how bad I want to see. Four, I dont accept any Add if he/she doesn't even talk to me first or ask first. I know it sounds so weird for all of these rules but I feel safe when and everytime I talk to them. I have may be less then 100 friends online, most of them add me but I dont add them back... so only people that I know are on my list. these people are nice and I know just like real life. Just be careful with you view webcam online, some people are mean and they can record your cam and then edit it later... Good luck

I use yahoo messenger too in chatting with my family and friends. It's one way of our communication especially that I am far from them.

Yes i use yahoo a lot since last 5-7 yrs. In INDIA its almost a necessity for a net user. All frns of mine since school time use this as a good medium to talk on net. Its easy has good features and does not take a lot of space.

Most of my friends and family uses YM as a way to communicate faster and cheaper especially for those family member who are abroad. Chatting via web is the most convenient way with webcam and microphone telephone has become obsolete technically. I also use Skype as some prefer this software but I am very much accustomed to YM.

Yes I am using Yahoo Messenger and someimes I am using Gmail Chat room. For me, I will choose Yahoo Messenger. Yahoo messenger have a lot of good features rather than MSN. It is more user friendly messenger and a lot of people using it. And all of my friend using it. And you can share all about the stuff you want when you are using Yahoo Messenger.

I did. I used yahoo messanger to communicate with my family who livew in my home country. We used webcam to see each other. And when the internet connection was good we used microphone to cummunicate. Sometime I used skype.

As u said, chatting is something we all would like to enjoy with friends and relatives. So ,I always like to chat very fast u know. I am very much attached with orkut u know. I have got a lot of friends there. Whenever i go online, i find someone there. But when i start scrapping, it will take a lot of time for a scrap to travel from my pc to the others. And for checking, always i have to refresh to see my scraps. But u c , yahoo messenger is the best one i have ever seen to chat with friends. Very fast and we can send files and even webcam also.

Me, I also use yahoo messenger to chat online. When I first register on yahoo messenger, I go to chat rooms because I want to meet friends of different personality that comes from different country. It was after a year that i realize, going into chat rooms is not that good, there are many scams and some were just there to play a fool. Today, I use only my yahoo messenger to chat with close friends, loves and family. I also use yahoo messenger to send sms text especially if I don't load on my cp. So yahoo messenger has been very useful to me.
