Have you ever had a arguement with a police officer? Some police officers use their authority for abuse. I had an arguement with a police officer once about my car being park on the line in a handicap parking space,(no i was not park in a handicap space,my tire was on the line.

They are not always in the right but sometimes they have to make decisions quickly so they are not always to blame. I agree that they use their power and abuse it sometimes. I have never had a run in with the police fortunately. That is crazy that you and an officer got into an argument over a parking spot. They should be more concerned with people going around killing, raping and doing more harmful things.

Most police officers are corrupt in the first place at least in India. Secondly they are just human beings like me and you so they make errors in judging things. They cannot give judgement. They can only act on the information provided by the litigated parties, or in case of traffic rules, they observe and see whether one has violated the rule. They can make a case and according to law (courts) punishments are given. It can be challenged in higher court if one is right and the police officer is wrong.

I had a similar encounter with a police officer about being in a handicap spot. I was in my car and it was pouring down rain and I just pulled in to let my roommate jump in so she didn't have to run accross the lot in the rain and he gave me a parking ticket. I wasn't even parked, my car was running and I was there for about 30 seconds. I thought he was being rediculious!
