Bak in the day, hip hop/rnb was crazy- phat sounds and a whole lotta street cred. Its now really degenerated into over produced crap with no content (apart from designer labels, hoes and homicides). Someone needs to bring bak the real sh*t as found in:
Dr Dre's early work
New Edition (and henceforth Bobby Brown, Bel Biv Devoe)
NWA (and henceforth Eazy E)
Snoop's early stuff with Dre
There was some real talent there (as well as others)
Who can say that kids like Rhianna have any real musical ability or any street appeal?? If something does click soon this genre is going to go down.

well i think there is a flaw in your argument. First off, you say that now a days people rap about hoes and homicides, how about you play back some of NWA albums and tell me what their content was about?....homicides and hoes. Secondly you can't compare rhianna with the old rap because she isn't even a rapper.True, most of the major label artist are producing "club hits" because thats what people want. They arent going to produce music that isn't loved by today's generation. Thats why most of today's rappers great rappers are underground or unknown to the popular culture, b.c they dont produce that b.s.Like i said the street appeal isn't in the major industry, its the underground scene.
