Mac VS Pc

What is your preference and why? Please be as descriptive as possible and give me some feed back on your loyalty to either Mac or PC. Feel free to include opinions on any of the following :
- Operating system
- Software
- Hardware
- Quality
- Reliability
- Safety (spyware, virus's, hackers)

After 4 iMac years, I sold it and bought a windows laptop. BIG MISTAKE.
My new laptop has way more processing power and all that other tech stuff, but it's ALWAYS crashing, programs take forever to load, etc.
The best thing about Macs is that they are not affected by all that spyware/virus crap that's on the net. That crap seems to affect PCs only.
I thought it would be more convenient to have a PC because of the hardware/software advantage, but nowadays you can run most PC programs on macs - Not to mention, you can run Windows XP on Macs.
One more thing - PCs lose their value A LOT faster than Macs. It's like comparing a Honda to a BMW. Sure, you can customize a Honda for a lot cheaper, but no matter how much you mod it, you're still gonna get your *** kicked by that M3. Haha...
