Favorite chocolate maker?

I've found that Europe in general has higher-quality candy bars (the kind you get from vending machines, I mean) than the US. However, both places have many different, high quality chocolate makers/chocolatiers.
In the US, my favorite is probably Godiva. In the UK, it's a tie between Thornton's and Leonatis (at least I think that's the spelling!).
Does anyone else have a preference?

Oh no! Chocolate! Okay, let's see my favorite is See's candy/chocolate but I do love chocolate from Holland the best. Any brand will do, but probably chocolate by Nestle is what satisfies my chocolate craving--the Dutch Nestle company. How is it, by the way, that the more chocolate and candy my sisterin-law eats the thinner she gets? What's up with that? Has she discovered a chocolate good for the figure? Does anyone know? Sigh.

hello! before, im not really particular about the brand or the maker of chocolates. but as soon as i've tasted a lot of chocolates i became conscious on the people behind it. i love cadburry, hersheys, lindt, cafarrel, toblerone, and a lot more. swiss made chocolates are really great as well as belgian chocolates. There is this chocolate i got from a friend from the Doha, Qatar its name is galaxy, unfortunately i haven't got a chance to know whos the maker..it taste good!

Lindt truffles are lovely! There's a candy bar called Galaxy here in the UK made by Cadbury. I wonder if they're the same thing, or if two different companies have a product called Galaxy.

I'm a fan of Hershey's Mr. Goodbar. Peanuts and chocolate...you can't beat it! The Kiss shaped streetlights remind me of the Mickey Mouse ears shaped power lines near Disney World. Clever marketing strategy, I'd say. ;) If you live near there, you should go. I'm sure your kids would love it!
Birmingham, UK, is the home of Cadbury chocolate, and apparently they give out free candy during their factory tours. Heaven!
