It has been already a month since I quit my last job, I am giving it a pause to think bout it. I am 20 years old, I know I am young and that is precisely why. I don't wish to reach the age of 30, 35, 40 and still just an employee.
I don't lack any NEEDS, I only lack LUXURY.
Currently I'm not RICH, but I'm not poor neither, my family will provide me with food, house and everything needed.
But I don't wish em to provide me with my greeds or luxury.
I wish to buy things with my own money and effort.
Short Story told, my current state of life is NORMAL. But I want more, I have been thinking about a lot of things, my future ME, my future wife, my future job and everything that is yet to come.
My dream is to climb up the ladder of Business Cycle, if not reach the top, at least near the top until i reach the top (bit of abstract).
What can I do? What should I do? Should I really go to university?
Don't You learn more through practical experience then theorical lessons?
Please help, I am really desperate.. this pause in my life has reached its peak where I can't analyze the situation smoothly. I feel as if I lost my Direction.

I think if you want to succeed in business you need at least some education in marketing so college is a good choice I'm 21 now and I'm on my third year of computer sience. it's not the same so you may be satisfied with extramural studies. It will allow you to get a job and some experience, too. Many of my friends do that and they're happy with it.

I belive there are tons of people who think that they can be next Bill Gates... And my country is not even 20 years after the comunism was destroyed in it so here's many things to do, too. And you forget that you won't be a big fish from the start, and those who are big fishes now stared with a standart job. That's why I wrote extramural studies. Because after you finish them and you use your time well you'll have more knowledge of how handle business from school and a practical knowledge from job.

Yes indeed, i agree with you, no one startes a big fish but they eat in order to become that fat and big fish... i believe thats the same theory.. in order to be able to absorb experiences and lessons i need an empty mind.
Whats is the function of a BOWL
Would you rather USE a bowl full of rice or would rather USE an empty BOWL
there are many different paths to take, and i am currently in the cross..
which is really a pain in my a$$

Have you read biographies from the biggest business man alife? of course i dont mean that everyone borns with those talents, but i believe, anyone can succed if they work hard with effort and WILL
I have indeed seen the outcome of ppl who actually study college and those that dont, do know i live in Latin America, and here is realyl really different from USA or Europe
since its a continent in developement, from 3rd world to 2nd world and in 50 years maybe one of the strongest continent
in latin america, ppl who actually come out of college, only get STANDARD JOBS
and as to ppl who work from their young ages, they reach near the top of the business cycle earlier then those who come from college
another thing is that in latinamerica the Diploma, Study certificate can actually be bought.. that is how corrupt here is

I work in international business since 1998. I work from my age 18. I am 33. I can speak about my experiences.
You are in a very good situation, that you live with your parents, and you do not have to work for your own living. Use out this possibility first. Yes, you must go to university or to college. It is very important, because in this way you can make a lot of relationships, that you will need in business life very very much. Even more you will have a diplom, that you may need. The best way to be succesfull is to hold your relationships alive. Without relationships you can open a business, but it is not easy to enter to any markets. If you want to open a little shop, or restaurant, you will not need relationships of course, but everything is working better if you have friends here and there. SO be kind with everybody, you may not know how they can change your life in a better way tommorrow.
I wish you power, and patient, and a lot of wisdom.

I seems to me as tho, you left out the beginning of you career that ia additional training, the university would open your thought process, to reach for bigger and better things to come.
A long with the porper training. What about business management?

The reason i didnt go to college when i was prompted its because i had different point of views, and the reason as to why now i will suddenly think bout going to college, is because i am not doing nothing currently
hence i am free to think all day long

Well I am your age and in college. Unfortunatly that piece of paper from a university will automatically make you go further. I go to school full time and work retail. I work really hard and my bosses see it and are already wanting to promote me.
My biggest advice in going to college is, go in as a general student. I went in with a major and Im a junior and realizing I hate it. Truely find something you love to learn about and would be ok with doing for the rest of your life. Explore all options and Community college is just as good of an option as a University. The undergrad degree doesn't matter as much with where it came from, its having it that matters.
I guess it's a soul searching thing. Figure out things you love and find a way to incorporate them into your career.
Good luck, it's not easy.

to have striven,to have made the effort,to have been true to certain ideals-this alone is worth the struggle.
patience and diligence,like faith,remove moutains.
method goes far to prevent trouble in business:for it makes the task easy, hinders confusion, saves abundance of time, and instructs that have business depending, both what to do and what to hope!
