Sooo, How's The Weather?

It's winter here in the desert of Southern California. We've been getting rather chilly. The mist is rising from the local mountains and it looks like snow. We were ready to put the fireplace back into use . . . Then poof, it's 100 degrees (fahrenheit) today. The bees are back in our herb garden and the kids want to dive in the pool. What's up with that? Soooo, how's the weather?

It's nice to have a little rain (or a lot of rain as the case may be) to cool off for the night. I love it.

I'm in Maryland and it's just been wacky! We've had record-breaking high's a few times this month. I mean, it's October and it's been 90° out there!! It's nice on the electric bill though, we've still got our windows open most of the time! Last night we got some much-needed rain though, that was nice!

Hi Reinydawn, it does seem that the weather is acting up a bit all over the country. We are still waiting for the rain though. We can do without the flash flood warnings--one can only hope. In any case, thanks for stopping by and many blessings to you.

davao city is blessed with the best weather all year round. we're supposed to have 2 seasons - the dry and wet - but it rarely rains here. the weather is just right here - not too hot and not too cold. sometimes i would be shock to learn that in other parts of the country, there's a typhoon going on while in my place, it's sunny, with just enough wind to make it bearable.

Well, i'm in Manchester, England and the sun is very bright but it's absolutely freezing outside. We're halfway through Autumn but the weather is quite wintery most days now. we had a couple of days last week where it was reasonably wwarm but all in all winter is here early!

Yes, it feels like winter here, but of course I goofed and it's Fall/Autumn still but it's beginning to taste and smell like Summer again. Now that I've totally confused you I've been dying to get back to England and a cold day with the sun shining sounds wonderful to me. Hehehe, have a wonderful weekend.

You won't believe it but here in Cyprus it is still like summer! It's really hot in daytime, about 30 degrees (celcius) and at night it gets a bit lower (25-20 degrees). Sometimes the sky get's cloudy but without any rain. It's really weird because usually this month is supposed to be a fall month..but I don't think that fall or winter will show up soon.

Your part of Southern Cal is usually around 10 degrees cooler. You have wonderful ocean breezes to keep you company. I know you're homesick but it's pretty where you are right now. Hang in there, my friend.

The weather in our area has been crazy. We are into the yo-yo effect until it gets real cold. One day we have the a/c on and the next the furnace. We tried a couple of nights to sleep with the furnace off and it was way too cold in the house by morning. We can use blankets but the dog and cat get too chilly. Find them curled in a little ball with their snouts buried in their tummy's. We live in the midwest where the weather changes as often as someone changes their undies!

Yep, it's very difficult to predict accurate weather in the midwest where we live. Feel sorry for the weather forecasters! It's a tough job.

That's a little confusing I must say. Poor little dogs. It's the cutest thing though when they have their snouts buried like that. Mmmm, the weather changes that often hey? LOL.

Yea, I was confused for a moment. It is still fall here also. But it seems it is either hot or cold here. We all think it's winter already. It's not. Nevada sounds very wonderful this time of year.

Well, here in the North East it is raining right now, it is raining hard, also very windy.. It is fall, and the leaves are beginning to change colors and fall. It has been cooler some evening, but in the mid-70s during the day. Definitely not how I think of October. I think October should be short sleeve in the beginning, long sleeves by the end of the month, Nove, ber should start with long sleeves and by Thanksgiving require a light jacket or sweatshirt. Somewhere in late December we might want to consider a winter coat and definitely by January.

It's been extremely hot here in Sarasota, Florida. I grew up in Boston and miss the changing season ohhhh sooo much. Sweater weather, u know? It's always hot here, but more so than usual. Global warming? I think the temp has been about 94 everyday this week.

I can't wait to see what December brings us this year. It snowed here in the desert last winter. It was a new experience for us. Anyway, have a wonderful weekend.

And as for you JW (why use that name?) it looks like you came here only to disrupt MyLot. I guess if you don't like it here you really don't have to be here. I'm just sayin'. This conversation was interesting to start for me because I was hoping to hear from people all over the world. This I think we did. I've been thinking of joining Yuwie also, but you might have just talked me out of it. It doesn't sound very friendly. Well, no matter, I still would like for you to have a nice weekend. So, my friend, are you enjoying life in beautiful UK and ... how's the weather?

Ok. wait. I'm pretty sure Southern California works with the same seasons as the rest of America and uh, It's not quite winter yet as it only just turned Fall a few weeks ago. However, I know what you mean. It was in the 80's/90's in Maryland when fall came around. Then it finally cooled down a little and here it is October 19th and it's nearly 80 degrees. crazy.

He he he...I married a Finn, so I just moved to Lapland 7 months ago. Yeah, it snowed last night but today the temp. is going up again, so the snow melts away already. Oh well... Well, I haven't learnt to skate, but I did try miniskiing once. However, I want to try miniskiing again he he he he...It's like skiing but the ski boards are much smaller than regular ones. Yeah, thanks, I'm trying to enjoy everything that life has to offer here in Finland. ;-D

Okay, here's the way my life went. I was born in New Guinea (parents were from Indonesia), moved to Holland, then Australia and finally to the United States. Oy, I'm tired. Anyway, back to the weather lol. It's a little crazy season everywhere it seems. I'm ready for brrrr cold so I can sit by the fireplace with a good book. Lovely. Today it was 35 degrees (celcuis) in Adelaide & tomorrow it will be 35 as well. This is quite hot for the middle of October. It's a bit of a concern for my garden having hot weather at this time of the year, as I can only water it once each week.

It's fall here, so it's chilly of the night and mornings. Thank goodness, it's not gotten too cold yet. I hate cold weather. It's so depressing to me, and I'm depressed enough, in warm weather. I get in a major funk in the winter, and I can't climb out, until late spring, and then I'm in more of a minor one. lol

You sound like you have all the symptons of a good writer, lol. But why do you get so depressed? Every season has its charms, right? I always think of winter as having soft white snow and drinking wonderfully warm cups of hot chocolate with whipped cream. Ah, it's the life. Oh, silly me, it's Fall here too. Be happy BrendaK.

It's fall here in Ontario Canada. But we've had pretty good weather. Usually you do the really brisk walk to your car or your house door. Wear thicker sweaters. But...I have to say that 20 degrees (Celcius) and above is definately welcome. The trees are not sure if they should keep their leaves or hold on a bit longer. I can still wear a t-shirt under my jacket.

Same here in Dallas. In the first few days of this week, we were very chilly. Yesterday and today we are around 90F in the afternoon. However, according to the forecast starting on Monday we will be around 60F again. So weird, just like yours there. Well, that is really what weather is...very unpredictable, it can change after a couple of seconds or minutes.

I'm finding out that I really don't like unpredictable, but you are right, that's just the way it is. So does Dallas, TX have four seasons or just hot summers and cold winters? Just curious. You haven't had any hurricanes this season have you? Kind of scary there. Thanks for coming by, Marie. Have a wonderful weekend.
