I am thinking of gettng a juicer and I was wondering if anyone has any tips for me. What should I look For? Are there any brands I should consider? And any places to find great recipes?

I guess most people have to consider price when it comes to buying a juicer, but of course i feel the best one to have if you can afford it is the stainless steel ones with the large shute so you can put larger cut pieces in. I have a white plastic one at the moment and i find it stains very very easy, I like a carrot, beetroot, ginger and celery juice, this is very good for you and the beetroot is the big culprit with staining...good luck and happy juicing...

I would rather spend more money and only have to do it once. I think getting a good solid long lasting one it my top priority.

Did you buy one? If so, what kind and how do you like it?

I think so far I have decided on the Jack LaLane juicer, but I didnt buy it yet. I am still saving up my money. I keep finding things I need to buy that take money awya from things I want. I am hoping to get it in the next few months.

Yes, I've have a Juiceman Junior for the past 10 years and it still works like a charm. A juicer is a must have! I've never followed a recipe since I know what I enjoy. And so do you (: If you're going for taste, the fruit juices are delicious. It's best to buy pears, nectarines, plums and peaches before they're ripe. I like creating veggie juices that are high in anti-oxidants. For me it's carrots, celery, parsley, spinach and broccoli. It doesn't have much taste appeal, but I feel like a million bucks once it's down the hatch.

I think that the taste and nutrition should be ballanced. I dont need something that tastes like candy, but if it tastes like I scraped it up off the car tire my family wont drink it. I would like it if my kids grew up with a lot of fresh foods and the sense to choose good food choices.

Yes I have a juicer. I love to make apple/carrot juices. Grape juice from real grapes.watermelon juice etc.. I have the juicer where you have to actually cut the fruits and vegges up it wont fit int he hwole. Try to get the power juicer where you can put a whole apple in, carrot or whatever you like. Cutting every little thing gets irritating after awhile Try the jack Lelland's power juicer

I was considering the Jack Lalaine juicer. The infomercial make it look so great. I have been fooled by infomercials before so I thought I would ask around here. I will definately watch for one where I dont need to dice the food up. Thanks for the tip.

I don't have a juicer and could not afford all the costs of buying all the produce for it. My cousin was doing juicing for quite awhile and said the cost was outrageous. So She introduced me to a much better way to get your right amount of fruits and veggies in a day. It would cut your cost into a fraction of what you would spend buying the produce. I have a link for it..but I don't want to get in trouble for placing it on here if I'm not supposed to.
