What is Pain/Pien's technique?

I think his technique is dividing his soul into different bodies (kinda like Lord Voldemort), or maybe transferring his soul into different bodies.

He probably has lots of cool other jutsus. But based on the latest manga, He's quite proficient in summoning beasts (he's got multi-headed dog and a chameleon w/ snake tail and pointy thing on it's head XD). His skills would be God-like based on the things Jiraiya said (Jiraiya's planning to use all he's got because he knows he can't easily beat Pein) . Pain's got one of them Bloodline Limits (like Uchiha and Hyuuga clans) said to be a myth because they couldn't find anyone who has it, except for Nagato (Pain's real name).We'll probably see Pein's jutsus on the upcoming episodes.

agreed. The battle is just starting and Jiraya was even wondering why Pain was only using Summoning techniques. Like he said Pain can summon almost anything (i looks like) and can control all the elements. Thats one powerful guy. I remember Yamato telling Naruto that one can only control maybe 3 elements at the most. So this will be an interesting battle coming up which is probably going to last about 3-4 chapters.

Pein hasn't show any techniques yet besides summoning techniques. But jiraiya said that pein can control 6 elements. Based on the latest manga, he has 6 bodies (where my hunch each of his body can control an element).
He can also control the rain and detect anything or anyone inside his rain.
In first part of their battle Pein only uses summoning tecniques, then he summoned 2 other with the same eyes as his. One of the summon can absorb techniques.
