It's been brought up in the UK about drinking whilst pregnant, I suppose as these subjects usually are every now and again (not to mention Christmas nearing). The guideline here is"one or two units" of alcohol once or twice a week, in America I believe the guide line is no drinks as it is in France.
Though nobody really knows how much alcohol is safe to drink under these conditions.
Would you drink alcohol whilst pregnant?
I personally can't see what all the fuss about it, it would be common sense to me to not drink while pregnant.

Definitely not, I feel this is the time for the baby, whatever is best for him/her.

Why risk it. If you are not willing to go without a drink for a few months maybe you are not ready for children. I know if your doctor says it is okay it is not a horrible thing but I personaly would never take the risk

Oops, I just heard this news about Kate Moss smoking and drinking during pregnancy and started a new discussion that's somewhat like this..Sorry~
I'd never drink whilst pregnant. It's just the ultimate act of irresponsibility--the woman isn't just damaging her body but her innocent unborn child's body as well. I think it's incredibly selfish too~

Drinking should be a definite no no when pregnant in my opinion. If there's even the slightest chance of a problem occuring to the unborn child, that's reason enough to say No.

I wouldn't risk it cuz you never know what could affect an unborn child. I think stores shouldn't even sell it to pregnant ladies, cuz when i worked at a market this girl would always get a six pack every day, supposedly for her hubby.

I don't, this is my second New Year in a row with no drinking :( I just don't think it is right to put that risk upon your unborn child as no one is completely sure to what extent alchohol effects an unborn child

I would never drink while pregnant. I wouldn't smoke either. Luckilly I don't do either of those things anyway so not a hard choice for me. I don't know who would want to put that stuff into their poor child.

I don't drink anyways except on ever special occasions so it's not really a problem to me. I would never drink in my first trimester but my doctor said it was okay to occasionally have a small glass of whine in your late pregnancy. I haven't done this but I wouldn;t say I am against it completly.

I would nottt drink while pregnant (nor did I). There's proof that it causes problems for the baby so I don't see why people even think it's okay.

I didn't dare drink while I was pregnant. I didn't have the urge to either. I wanted what was best for my baby.
