What is your religion?

I am Catholic, and well I try to behave as I suppose todo according to my religion, but I have to say that sometimes it is difficult because the world I guess it is going in other way, when you whatch the Tv, or listen the radio they are telling you how it is to go in their way... but I keep trying and I think that is important

How many religions ?. There are THOUSANDS. Over a thousand in India alone. Rats-Elephants- cows- snakes- insects. These are just a few of of the divas worshipped. Each and every one are adament that their religion is the only true religion. If opposed they will KILL to ratify their point. The religious killing is going on today. Muslim extremists. The Taliban. Protestant/catholic relations are extremely volotile. I am now 75 years old. I was brought up as C of E well and truly brainwashed as a child at Sunday School etc. However at eighteen while lying on the boat deck of a tramp steamer (I joined the merchant marine) at night and feeling the power of the sea beneath me and watching with awe the numerous shooting stars above me something snapped within my brain. WHY AM I HERE ? Since that early age I have been searching for an answer. To date I have not found it. What I have found through intense study of religions is that there is NO mythical god to whome I can relate my existance to. Only the fact that I am PART OF THE EARTH itself. Therefore the nearest I have come to an organisation that I feel comfortable with is that which follows the path of WICCA. We all NEED something to turn to within ourselves to give us comfort. If your religion (No matter from what source) helps then I am pleased for you. Yes--- To answer your second question..... I do behave according to my beliefs. Wicca is alied to the Earth and as such my very existance is to preserve and respect every minute portion of it. By so doing even my dust shall be of benefit. I DO hope you are leading a happy life. I'm not a religious person but I am a very spiritual person...that being said, I behave as I'm supposed to according to my morals and standards...Yes my spiritual path does affect my choices and behaviours but not in an intense way..more like in a natural combining way if that makes sense.....My spiritual path (which is a blend of Buddhism, Paganism, Vodou) does guide my behaviours but ultimately its my human nature that is the deciding factor..
