Blood donation: Do you think it is a good idea to donate blood?

Blood banks save lives, and i am one person who thinks donating blood is a selfless gesture that is worth a million dollars-Do you donate blood? Have you frankly donated blood? Why?

I going to donate blood for my 3rd time in my life on the coming Thursday. I will donate blood once half a year, seen our blood can help others and it brings benefits to us, why don't we do it. We can safe others people life just by donating our blood, and it will reproduce new cell of blood and build up our body immunity. I will do it as long I'm still healthy and have enough blood to donate.

yes i do donate blood, this made me donate blood because when my child got dengue and i'm looking for blood donate its so hard for me, all want to sale blood, i dont got any money for that much blood. so when i pass those financial problem. i said to my self that i would donate blood for someone who need and to save life for those person who dont have money for saving there child. i donate blood every 6 months.
on a coincidence my long lost friend i saw in a hospital when his new born daughter is a premature and need blood i didnt think twice i just give my card for him to get the blood. it give me a big relieve giving blood for person not related to you!

That is the one reason I regret why I have not taken a step to donate blood-I wonder what I would do if my own child or relative needed blood and they can not be served with the required blood just because am not a donor? I am happy that by being a Donor you expeditiously helped your child-I think I should donate blood very soon to fall in the category of Donors!! Thanks for your personal experience jcyap888

It is a good idea to donate blood to the blood banks in order to get more people saved. To be honest, I have never donated blood as I am afraid of injections, so painful.

i would like to donate my blood, but i am not qualified to do that. you know that, one does not allowed donating his blood unless his body weight surpasses a standard.
donating blood is not only helpful for other people who need blood, but also benefit to those who donated their blood. it can enhance your immune function.
