Strange Response On My Discussion

Hi, I think that this user just didn't understand yoyr topic and think he may write update on anything he wanted xD that's what it seems to me, anyway. i would still mark the response + because he obviously could paste it as he had this feature disabled;)

Since it was his first post, I would give him the benefit of the doubt. Normally I mark things like that as abuse, but I wait to see a pattern. I might respond and ask what he is talking about, I think it had to do with the sick cat. Do not worry too much about it. There are much worse things.

well I would saythis oersin either thought it was a discussion to give an update or its a joke LOL I would just reply to it any way you would normally

It seems to be his very first discussion. He was probably trying to start a new discussion. But it landed on your post instead. It sounded funny, really. I mean, even if it were a discussion this person started, I wouldn't know what to respond about it either...LOL. Maybe you can ask him what he meant by that, and maybe on his next post he'll do better...=)

His response didn't have anything to do with your discussion so I'm at a loss. Do you think he just posted in the wrong discussion? Me being the way I am, I would probably just ask him what he was talking about, that you're confused....cause I know I am.

LOL! Thats really a random reply and its his only post. I think he didn't read your whole discussion / didn't understand it / doesn't know what to post / doesn't know how to use mylot / he was just having fun. Whatever be the reason thats a kind of rude act.

I have heard that some myLotters have different discussions open on their tabs and they draft and edit their answers in notepad then copy them onto the the applicable discussion. I really think that this person posted the wrong response to your discussion and may have posted his correct response to your topic on someone else's discussion. There does not seem to be anything malicious in the response. If I was you I would just ignore it.

It sounds like that one wanted to do a bit of onupmanship. You give some bad news, and he or she wants to give you her or his bad news because it is supposedly worse than yours. He or she might not understand English that well. Tell the person that the post is what happened to me and my family and that I want some help in how to handle it. I will have to go through your rather long post in which you could have said in one sentence, "All my family on my mother's side has inherited a mental illness, including myself," instead of using three sentences to tell us that. I am certain that Response #4's knowledge of English is worse than mine and you may have to explain to him/or her more clearly.

I have read the respond post. Maybe they thought it was a different post maybe they wasn't paying attention to what the discussion was about. I won't reply to it. It is a little strange but I'm trying to think and hope they didn't mean anything by just that they got mixed with the posting.

It is the very first posting this person has done. The person is most likely having a hard time understanding the English language. And the response appears to belong to a different discussion or perhaps an email. I agree that it looks like a copy/paste but a person with less than 500 postings should not be able to copy/paste. hmmmm. Very strange. Have you checked out the person's profile to see if you can find any insight there??? I personally would not respond to it since it is so completely weird and will most likely be deleted.

That is weird, report the post and hopefully mylot will delete it.

I know what you mean, I have actually told peole hey the reason I asked a question is because i wanted an answer on the topic I started with. I think some peole will just say anything to be able to post. i have never given anyone a negative rating but I do leave those blank.

I also don't think he knew what he was talking about. I read a response that mentioned "Cheaters" I am fairly new hear and was wondering if you could explain that a little more. Thanks

Yes, indeed this was a strange reply. Perhaps the poster who was new on MyLot thought this was one of those sites where someone starts a story and all respondents take the story and develop it further. The other possibility is that he posted an answer to the wrong discussion. Don't be upset, there is nothing to help, nothing to do. Just let it pass.

Simply a dumb copy/paste coming from an ignorant poster, who is obviously an illiterate person who doesn't know how to speak the english language and is just out here to TERRORIZE the community. Best action, report him immediately. Don't comment on it anymore, just hit the report button (!) located on the far right of that post!:)

Sounds like someone is post surfing. he/it is a newbie with 1 post and at that rate, likely all he's ever going to get! I would report it

You're right it certainly is weird, and I checked the person's profile and it doesn't even list where he/she is from...So far he/she only has one response at all (one point) and last logged in about 12 hours ago....The answer had nothing to do with your discussion...maybe the person doesn't speak/read English well, but I would still think the person would try to respond a little more to the topic no matter what. Ignore it...Or....sometimes when I get a really wacky answer I just reply to it... Duh?

It could possibly that he accidentally copy and pasted it. Or maybe he just post randomly to get points.

I dunno...that's wierd. I would have to say either this person is crazy and saw something totally other than what you posted. Or the guy is just trying to wig you out and is obviously not taking Mylot seriously. Report him.
