Does anyone hate Halloween as much as I do?

Oh no, I loved Halloween as a kid, now that Im an adult I just dont participate, but I dont hate it. I was just telling a friend of mine that instead of candy, I was going to pass out scares. lol I was going to turn on my porch light to attract the kids, leave my front door open and all the lights out, then when they rang the door to ask for candy I was going to jump up from behind the screen door and scare the daylights out of them. Ok it seems a bit more harsh when I just wrote it versus telling her about it.....lol Im sure I wont it was just a funny idea. Bay Lay Gray xx

Well I can't say I hate it but I really don't understand the point of it. One night a year were kids get a ton of candy for free which we as parents are going to have to pay for dental bills for years to come or ya good point then you got a bunch of little trouble makers running around wearing mask and causing trouble. I don't know who the smart guy was that came up with this holiday but he needs a slap!lmao

Actually I also hate holloween. But I dont hate the tradition where in kids get to dress and go out and have trick or treating, in fact its kinda cute. What I really hate about Halloween is the fact that people always has the habit to scare other people in this day and I just HATE it. I also hate the all those TV stations that keeps on showing horror movies cause I really cant stand horror movies, it really scare the pants off me. Well anyway, mostly the reason why i hate this day is because I kinda get scared. LOL ^_^

You hate the candy too? I love scary movies. That's really about it. when I was a kid I liked dressing up and Haunted houses. But I'm not a kid so it's not as fun anymore to dress up and Haunted houses have changed. I do agree with you about the dressing up where you can't see their faces. I HATE that about clowns. They've got that plastered on smile that you can't see what's really behind that smile. I hate that about costumes. It really does freak me out.

i love halloween!! well we dont really hv halloween in portugal but we hv the carnival that is more or less the same thing!! but we do hv halloween parties in clubs and stuff!! i like it i find it easier to make conversation with people dressed in all those crazy outfits!! :D i remember that i met one of my best friends when he was dressed at a party like a ghost! with a really big white sheet on!! just 2 holes for the eyes and it was so funny!!! :D

No, I don't hate it. I have grown tired of it though. It just doesn't have the same appeal it once did as a child. It was fun dressing up back then.

Hi taylorblue, It's not as interesting for me anymore, since my daughter's sixteen, and her trick or treating days are over. I have fond memories of going out with her, and we had lots of fun. I still enjoy seeing the wee tots, being carried by their parents, and I like to give them treats. They're adorable in their fluffy animal costumes etc. Some of the older kids have very creative costumes too. In our area, the kids are always polite, and even the bigger boys that come to the door, are well behaved, and seem appreciative. We used to go to parties when I was young, and it was always just good fun. It's too bad 'some people' have ruined it now though, and everyone has to be more careful. I always went through my daughter's candy with her, and we only went around in our own neighbourhood, which is quite a 'tight knit' community.

halloween was cool when you where little now it seams really stupid how you would dress up and go door to door but hey who wouldent want free candy?
