How Do You Tell If A Person Is Smart?

Is it possible to tell if someone is smart? I think this is very unfair of people to say either "I'm Smarter Then You" or "Your Dumb" because that person has no idea weather or not someone else is smarter. I personally think everyone is a genius in something they enjoy doing that they do well. For example just because one person struggles with math or can't read doesn't mean they are stupid because some people like this through history where some of the most famous inventors and minds of their times. Everyone excels in something and there should be no smarter or dumber because in my mind we are all even although some people are better in certain fields does not mean they are totally smarter then another. What do you think? Can intelligance be measured by what we can and cannot do?

I dont think that you can tell if a person is smart or not. I know a woman in her 50s and she runs her own business. She cant read or write, but she never let that stop her from doing what she wanted to do. After all, business people who are thought to be so smart and knowledgeable still need an accountant and a business manager!!! :-)
