Top Fantasy Football Player In 2006

I have the number one pick in my fantasy football draft. Who should I pick? Some weird dude told me Shaun Alexander. I'm thinking Peyton Manning or Clinton portis. Any help would be appreciated.

I think Tom Brady is the best. he throws a TD every game

Shawn Alexander is a great all-around player, however he has been really inconsistent this year (i should know, i'm a seattleite lol). LaDainlan Thompson (SD Chargers) would be a better bet.
