Are you watching more horror movies on tv because Halloween is coming?

Tonight started the Sci Fi channels 13 days of Halloween and I'm psyched! Not that I haven't been watching horror movies every day even when it isn't 'the season'...lol because they are my favorite movie genre. The problem is that they seem to be showing the same ones I've been watching on cable so I know everything that's going to happen but I really don't care because I just do my housework while they are on or work on my pc. Are you finding yourself watching more horror movies because it's the halloween season? Are you watching more than usual or not watching any at all?

If there were scary movies on the broadcast channels, (because those are the only channels I get here), I would watch them. Unfortunately, these are mostly filled with stupid sitcoms, reality shows, crime drama and hospital dramas at night. During the day there are only soap operas, judge shows, game shows and talk shows. At least Wal-Mart is selling scary movies for a cheap price in the $5 bin lol.

Since my son showed me that I could do it I've been watching full length movies on my pc on fearnet.com. It's great because there are so many showings of the same movie on tv and I get a choice on this site.

Well, they finally showed some scary movies on TV. Last night, I switched between Ghost Whisperer and Carrie. I also switched between Carrie (on My20, formerly UPN) and Moonlight. Anyone who doesn't know, Moonlight is about vampires and Ghost Whisperer is about a woman who can speak to ghosts lol. Ghost Whisperer can be really creepy at times. Thursday night, I watched Smallville and Supernatural on the WB, and switched back and forth to the original Amityville Horror on the My20 (formerly UPN) network.

I don't watch horror films because I like sleeping at night, with the lights off.The only "Halloween" film I will see is Rocky Horror which is a musical, not really a horror film.

The second last time a had a horrifying dream I was all shook up and couldn't move. I just lay in bed for a few minutes. Then I came up with the idea that next time that happens, I'm going to tell myself, "It's not real. It's not real." Over and over again. I calmed down. I think it was a few weeks later when I had my last bad dream. I was shook up again when I woke up. I remembered what I told myself after the other bad dream. It worked. I haven't had a bad dream for years. (My bad dreams were not due to any traumas, by the way. If anyone suffered a serious trauma, he/she should seek treatment.)

I'm really going to be sorry when halloween is over this year. I won't know what to watch! I'm so happy that I found fearnet.com on my pc and can watch them whenever I want.

Ha ha. While you were watching sci-fi I was being lame watching ABC families 13 days of Halloween. The BEST movie ever Hocus Pocus was on and it drew me in! I friggin love that movie. But yeah, I like to watch horror movies anytime but I definitely watch them more often when it's halloween because they are on tv and I don't have to stick a dvd in, but i have dvd's I want to watch and I got stuck watching tv instead!

Oh it's definitely not scary, but it's still a great halloween movie! I did buy a few scary movies the other day so I could watch them since it is halloween time. Poltergeist. Hard Candy (more a thriller) 28 weeks later (supposed to be better than the first) and Mr. Brooks. around christmas I tend to buy christmas movies too. no other holidays have killer movies.

Virtually, we don't have this Holiday in our country. I do have learnt something form the book about the Halloween. Would you mind telling me more things about this festival? One more thing, Scary movies is really not my cup of tea, I like comedy better. Andy

It's tue, but Hollywood has to glamourize everything. Hallowe'en around the world IS very different than what the scary movies depict around that time of year. It's great to watch horror movies, though. Lots of the imagination. Would even be better to write a horror story or screen play for profit!

I have not gotten started yet, ctry, but I will be watching plenty of them starting tomorrow. I don't get cable but I do have a wide assortment of horror movies in my DVD collection. I have been in a house cleaning frenzy over the past few days just so I can relax and watch some movies, lol.

Make a big bowl of popcorn and enjoy those movies. I've seen them all a million times and still love them over and over.
