How do you define success?

I've always thought success was having a good family or having a good career. But then I came across this article that awarded a 31 year old friend of mine an achiever's award. She's an artist, single, and her goal is to be a professional pole dancer. It gets you thinking that if a person pursues what they always wanted and lives their dream, doesn't that count as "success" too? What are your ideas about success? How do you define it?
