My best friend passed away 5 months ago from a lung disease. He was only 48 years old and the happiest guy I ever knew. As time has gone by I am not so sad anymore. The good times and years we spent together we great fun. He was the catalyst for many people but I was lucky enough to be his best friend for 31 years... maybe we are blessed only for a time with a good friendship.
Now I know i will not have another friend such as him, but I also feel to take my life less serious but more intense for now. So many things come to light as time passes. I think now that he was a much better man than myself, did more than I will do in twice the years.
It is even strange now to think of him as only a memory.
That is all I wanted to say to MyLot people. I am not sad, but if you have lost a good friend too soon, please feel free to describe your thoughts here.

I lost a good friend about a year and a half ago due to him having a heart attack while in Iraq. He was also my next door neighbor. We were good friends. His wife is still having a difficult time grieving and have been trying to help her as much as possible. He was only in his mid 40's which was really sad. The stress was too much for him while serving out in Iraq.

Oh, I am sorry for your lost cliffcliff. I can tell that he is really a good person base on what you say and indeed both of you are lucky to be friends. May he rest in peace already. With regards to your question, my answer is NO. I don't have a best friend that die too young.
