As so many of you know, I'm into the whole animal rights issues, from testing/experimentation, to the fur trade, to puppy/kitten mills and also how factory farm animals are treated. Well I'm just starting to build a website..it's in it's baby stages...and I only managed to do one page the opener for tonight...But as you'll see, I hope to accomplish an information center of all the places one can go to, to get involved...I may do a better one someday with a more pizzaz look to it, but for now this will do...like I said it' a start So here it is http://www.freewebs.com/ifeveryonecared-animals/

I am also really concerned anout animal rights and am against testing/experimentation, to the fur trade, to puppy/kitten mills and also the ill treatment done to farm animals. I just visited your site and its awsome. I really appreciate it and hope to see your site growing. I'll share the link with my friends (some are into organisations like PETA and some are advisors).

I am too against animal testing and such, I stopped buying IAMS because they were known for testing on their animals. I also don't buy animals from pet stores since there are tons of them at local shelters that actually need a home. Your site is pretty good even though its in its baby stages still. If you want my friend is actually giving away free web domains and hosting, of course he has terms and conditions but I took him up on the offer and my website is coming along also. If you want your own website I can help you with that, and it won't cost you anything. Right now I think he is just offering a .info domain, its not a .com but its better than nothing. His main site is currently under construction but you can go to http://aqns-hosting.info/ and contact him and get more information. Good Luck! :)

I know, I tell all my friends to adopt pets from a local shelter instead of buying them at pet stores, not only are they cheaper but they also tend to be more social. I have gone to pet stores where the animals look so depressed and not happy at all, I don't think the employees spend enough time with them to develop their social skills. I mean who wants to buy a puppy is they are just gonna mope around and not engage in interaction. Also some pet stores get their puppies from puppy mills, which is not a good place at all. Their parents are treated horribly most of the time and the sole purpose of them is just for breeding, they never get to spend time with their puppies... they get snatched away once they can be sold. A lot of pet store also don't provide proper care, sometimes instead of hiring a veterinarian to take care of the sick animals they just have an average employee administer a shot or give them some pills. My friend has bought pets from pets stores and they end up dying so fast compared to when he bought animals from shelters. I just think shelters are a better place to get animals, because the people there aren't hired to take care of them most of the time they are volunteering, meaning they want to take care of and spend time with them, they aren't just worried about getting paid.

Thank you..I did check it out and I saw that link you have about the companies that do/don't test on animals...yes, people who don't see animal cruelty then think we who do love animals as being crazy or something--well I'd rather be crazy than cruel

Oh I know, when I was a member of the Anti-Vivisection I used to get horrific pictures, I was pretty passionate about it and I know I upset a lot of people by showing the pictures, I just though maybe to get support it would be goof to have the pics there but not out front...just my opinion...

I've done some more work on the site...all day and night, and added pages to it..on the home page I even give a notice that the photos I choose were the less offensive ones, but felt I had to use them to make a point...I added links of all the places that is the companies that do and don't test on animals..yeesh--a lot of work! And I haven't even gotten to the section of the animal organizations yet!

hello pyewacket I was just looking at your page i think it is a wonderful thing you are doing just one little maybe suggestion for you, I know what the photos of the abused animals can do for the cause but I feel this can be very distressing for some people and might put some off coming back, maybe a second page and have a notice of distressing photos before people go in...just a thought, I hope you do well...

LOL--believe it or not those were the "least" distressing photos...you should see some of the photos and videos out there...not for the squimish at all

That's a great start! It is really effective because it upset me pretty quickly. And you know, maybe that is what we all need to be, upset. If we all got unsettled and upset about the things happening to these animals, maybe a difference would be made and changes would take place.

Awesome web site! - awesome star and sign
Awesome site pyewacket! We need sites where people know what they are saying and can offer information to those of us who aren't as well educated in animal rights as they are. A good site takes time to come together and I'm sure you will be making "adjustments" a little at a time. This is a great start and I'm going to share it with my family and friends who are interested in animals.

Hi pye,...what a great site and I wish you all the luck in the world! I didn't even want to look but I did, and it ripped my heart out. I've seen this stuff many times and it never seems to stop.....the human race is still so barbaric and unfeeling. I wish there was more people in the world like you.

hi pyewacket. I have bookmarked your page. I didn't know, that avon is a company that is not testing their products on animals. I don't like to wait for my cosmetics, so I don't buy them from avon lady. Maybe I should change my mind in this case. The worst thing is, that we should check the company on the list before going shopping or take the list with us to shopping mall. Because the companies can put "not tested on animals" or something like that on the product even if it is not true. I don't know how it is in other countries, but in Poland the company, which does such thing, stays unpunished. There is a gap in regulations. it takes a lot of time to check all of my cosmetics and their producers. But step by step I'll try to avoid those, which are testing their products on animals. I was thinking about doind it lately. Your discussion caused that thinking is turning into doing:). take care:) jazgottt

I completly agree with you. I would rather spend more money if I am sure that the product wasn't tested on animals. I'm a frugal person, but it's saving money is less important for me than testing products on animals. Unfortunately, I don't know the comanies you've mentioned. Maybe they are not popular or even not available in my country. cheerio:).

I found out another cosmetic company that doesn't test on animals is Almay and Bonne Bell--Almay is expensive than the brand I usually get...but heck, I'd rather spend a little more from a company that doesn't test on animals, rather than one that does

Awesome pye!! Good for you :) You've got a great start and I am sure you will reach a lot of hearts...hopefully the images and reports will do more than reach people, but encourage them to ACT also. :) I am not sure if I should ask but what in the world are they doing to the poor kitty with his head all in a clamp and his mouth pried open? That one especially brings tears instantly.

PS - You may be interested in adding how people are responding to the "fad" of selling "wolf-hybrids". These hybrids are like a bomb waiting to go off...a mixture of exact opposite genetics (one wanting to stay away from humans and civilization, the other seeking affection, etc) they are at constant conflict within themselves and kill and maim hundreds of children per year. To "get" a true wolf dog, a person stakes their "female" in heat out in the wild areas where wild wolves frequent, and MOST of the time, the female is killed during the encounter. I am a strong advocate AGAINST wolves and hybrids in captivity. America can't handle the domesticated breeds they have already created, why introduce new threats at the expense of our families and the awesome creatures themselves? My little blurb about it and a link to one of my favorite canine specialists who calls them "Kid Killers": http://www.k-9campus.com/wolf-hybrids.html

Hi Pye!First let me say a big, BIG kudos to you! I love seeing people put their frustration into action. I have a website that is www.anangelsdestiny.com. I knew when I started my website I wanted to pick one charity and focus on working with them and supporting them as I grew as a business. The one thing that haunts me most, is factory farming! To me its like a holocaust of outragous proportions! I think about it all day and think about it every night when I go to bed. So if you look at my links page, I wanted Farm Sanctary right there! But I want to link up something else where it goes directly to a video website where people can see the "undercover footage" in slaughterhouses that hardly anyone seems to know about. I'm having a hard time knowing how or if I should link this to my regular business website or not...but my heart tells me to go for it! I wish we could get more of it out there and get people connected. It seems people just need to see the pictures. Nobody wants to, but once they do ...then they know. Way to go, Pye! Keep us updated!

Yes farm factory is horrendous..I've seen some of the videos about it and it makes me really sick to watch them..PETA has a lot of videos about this..maybe you could add the link to them on your site?? I looked at your site...Scooter was a beautiful "baby"--and oh, how I hate when people think we're "nuts" cause we grieve over "just a dog" or "just a cat"--no compassion at all these people!!
