hi,
I just want to know your PERSONAL opinion on women from your country or community. How do you see them, how they are seen. What do you REALLY think of them, their behaviour and how they like to be treated. Please note that this discussion is open to both genders and all opinions are welcomed freely.

Hi my dear friend, nice topic, I would divide my answer into the following parts (excuse me if i missed something I wrote this in a hurry):
1-WOMEN IN THE PAST:
Generally speaking, despite I am living in a conservative society but I guess the answer varies from one region to another but overall; in the past women stayed home to look after the kids and cook while the man as the sole breadwinner of the family did what he had to outside for living.
The disadvantage of this life style was that women in some communities did not receive the respect or the rights they deserve. Some looked at them as if their sole purpose is 2 serve her family even if her needs are overlooked, or let me say, her needs either emotional or physical weren't a priority. I can't generalize coz that pertained to some communities only but let's say this picture was there. Some men but not all were so much busy at work or so much engaged in other activities outside home and did not have the time to show the proper love and caring their women needed at home
The advantages of this life style was, kids were looked after by their mom, at home, u'd see and feel the touch and the soul of a woman at home and honeslty this is important, also life at home was stable despite there was so much potential in women that was not utilized.
2-WOMEN NOW:
Nowadays, living in the information age, with this globalization thing and electronic life prevailing and making the world so much smaller, things have become so damn different, there's this new movement whose goal is to empower women everywhere, women started to work and join men almost in every field, they both strive hard, hence man is no longer the sole bread-winner of the family, so as for work she works and her hubby works, this reulted a better living standards either for them or their kids, with this advantage, a problem arose which is home has become vacant and kids learn and aquire their ethics from nannies and others. Families won't sit all together to have dinner and supper, family values and eithics have been tremendously affected.
3-HOW THEY LIKE TO BE TREATED:
Women like to be treated equally and with love and respect, and this honestly must be the norm. I would not have a respect for a guy who looks down to his woman or consider her of lesser rights. I have always considered woman as a partner with equal rights by all means. I believe in empowering women and giving them the opportunity to work as long as marriage is not jeopordized.
The only thing I noticed with this new movement that a sort of extremity on the other side has been resulted, where some women (not all) almost ignored home or let me say, home is not their first priority anymore hence, they no longer give husband and kids the care and the attention they may need. In other words the balance between work and home isn't reached yet.
4-HOW I WANT MY DREAM WOMAN TO BE:
Working woman(without ignoring home), strong personality, loving and caring, understancing-Never judgmental, open minded, naughty he he, reliable and trustworthy ... did I 4get something ? dunno
5-HOW I SHOULD BE LIKE, AS A HUSBAND:
I would just copy and paste what's in part 4 here
6-HOW WOMEN ARE LOOKED UPON IN MY COMMUNITY:
I guess in this new era, women started to gain the respect they deserve and this is really making me happy, of course there are exceptions, but I won't consider them the norm. Still there are some hurdles on the way but I guess sooner or later, the situaltion where we an almost have one hundred percent healthy society on this regard! will be reached.
Thank you very much my dearest friend, topic is real interesting and so are the rest of your topics. Thank you man ....excuse typos .......

I fully agree with you, the topic is cool. It happens to me as well when i start a discussion sometimes and get surprised that not too many answers I did receive whereas u see some discussions that can not even compete with this discussion of yours, quality-wise but with tens and hundreds of responses. Strange.
Thank you my friend for your always-interesting discussions.
