I do. I think if women were required to go to war a lot of things would change. for one thing I think there would be less war. Women are more able to look at every side of the picture and compromise to do whatever it takes to keep the peace.

I don't believe that the draft is right for anyone, but that's besides the point for the discussion here. I don't think that that if women were required to go to war a lot of things would change or that there would be less war. When a person is drafted, they're not made into decision-makers who are "able to look at every side of the picture and compromise to do whatever it takes to keep the peace", they're just placed into the military to do what they're told to do and nothing more. You don't have decisions, thoughts, or opinions after that. You can't move foward with what you believe is the solution to war. You just have to listen and do as your told to do. Either that, or you face serious consequences.

Did you even read what I wrote? When someone is drafted, they have to do as they're told! If they're told to fight, that's what they have to do. There's no choice.

I don't think you are listening women vote and I believe that if the draft was instated for women they would rally to make some changes is what I meant. I'm not trying to turn this into an argument I just really believe if women were required to go and fight there would be changes.

Hi there!!I am not sure in that theory!!Here we had a war,lot of news paper wrote that our war is the worse war after War World Second!!I was in position that some strangers came here and want to occupied my homeland!!Lot of young and no so young women go to the war as a soldiers!!My children was young and I was at home, but my hubby and my father take apart like a soldiers on the front!!There are no compromise if you have a enemy in your front yard!!You only can take an action and stay with God!!God have to be on your side if you try to save your home!!I do not believe that world would be without war if a women take a part in government or be required to go to war!Regards Silvana

Men look at all sides to. I believe women should be in the military though. They can fight. Draft isnt good though. Less war is good but when we have 7 million islam terrorists looking for ways to kill us, we need all the help we can get.

Well I must say as a woman that I've never felt it was fair that men are the only ones drafted. Women have been treated as caregivers and baby factories for too long. Any war affects everyone and the wants and needs of both sexes are at stake. I for one would not have been offended if i had been drafted I would have considered it my duty. I may have a different viewpoint than some women though because of my family. My grandfather joined the navy in 1911 and fought in every war that occured form then until the mid 60's when he retired he made many sacrifices for the freedoms this country currently enjoys and I can think of no one I respect more and would have followed in his footsteps if I had not become pregnant right before I was headed to boot camp.
