How much 'me' time do you get?

I ask this because up until 2 weeks ago my life was pretty simple. I'd sleep in until 10 am every day and go to work at 2.30pm. Finish at 10 or 11pm and come home, watch a bit of TV or read and go to bed. I'd get every Friday off and enjoy a long weekend every weekend. When I started my vet nursing course 2 weeks ago I didn't realise how busy I'd be! The first day I was on prac at the clinic the head vet asked if I'd work Saturdays as a kennel hand-of course I said yes so now I work Monday-Thursday nights at my other job, every Thursday is spent at the clinic from 7.30am to 4pm and on every third friday I have a study group on the other side of town! Oh, not to mention work at 8am-1pm every saturday. This past week I had 2 assignments due so I had hardly any sleep all week. All this business is exhausting me and I'm really starting to appreciate my 'me' time. How hectic is your day to day life?

A lot! I am basically guaranteed 6 hours a day at work - we're not allowed to talk to each other, so my mind is free to roam wherever it chooses. At home, I get a lot of Me Time too. When I'm on myLot or gather.com.

I have a lot of me time normally. On weekdays I get up between 5:30 and 6 am. I leave about 10 after 7 to go to work. Work from 8 - 4. Get home about 4:30 and then have the rest of the night to myself.
On the weekends I rarely actually do stuff so I have the weekends pretty much all to myself. I go to school online so I can pretty much do that on my own time and such. It's nice.
For the past two years prior I had a very hectic life though and I'm thinking about getting a part-time job again...soooo who knows it might get all hectic again soon.

Well I have to get up by 6:00 a.m. and my husband and I have to be out the door by 7:00 so we can get to work on time during the week. I run errands after work and on the weekends usually. I am about to embark working on my resume and I work out in the evenings so my schedule gets very busy.

A few years ago my life was like that, but not anymore. Someday you, too, will be retired and the time will pass by in an eyeblink every day, but at least it will be you YOUR time. Just plan now to start saying "No!" to people, because some folks will inevitably think you have time on your hands and should do their work for them. Nopers.

You've become a busy body. lol But you know it'll all pay off in the end and maybe then things will slow down a bit for you. I applaud your going to school and finishing your education but it's hell to keep up. I wish you the best life has to offer for you deserve it.

I have 4 children ages 4 months to 6 years I work full time from 6am-2:30pm. This is a normal routine for me. I wake up around 5am and feed my little one(I'm nursing) then I get ready to go to work. On my 30 minute lunch break I come home I feed the baby change diapers (I have 2 in diapers) and then head back to work. When I get home I once again feed the children their snacks go and pick up my oldest from school. Help her with homework. Try to pick up the house which never stays clean and then make supper give baths and try to have everyone down in bed by 9pm. Usually I am so warn out by then I just go to bed at that time myself. I figure that I chose to have 4 beutiful children and right now my life is devoted to them and I will eventualy get some time for myself just like you will when you finish school.

Well - not much but way more than you get!
Shew! I got tired just reading that LOL.
I actually about 3 years ago started taking an extra day off a week for a whole day devoted to do whatever I wanted to do while my hubby was at work.
When my hubby is home I am with him and we have a lot of things in common and NOT in common as well. So those things or movies, ect I have to do on my own time. But I wasn't getting any. PLUS I'm a loner who really needs to be alone on occasion. Though I love my hubby very much and truly enjoy his company.
Right now though I've kind of but not really got an abundance of me time. I'm not currently working but I'm giving my kitchen a face lift. I refinished my kitchen cabinets, painted the kitchen - things like that. So I've been alone but still working. So I still have to find time to squeeze in doing things I like to do - but I've got the alone time covered. Even though I'm working I still have no contact at all with any one else (unless I hope on here for a few) so it serves my 'alone' needs.

Congratulations on starting your vet nurse course. I am sure you will find it very fullfilling. With everything you have to do, I am sure you will not find time to go on My Lot much.
I can see that you don't have much "me time" now.
As for me, it varies. On days that my hubby is at work & my daughter is at school, I sometimes get quite a bit of me time.It depends on how much swimming training I have to take my daughter to, especially those early morning sessions.

I don't really get any anymore at all. I work all day, and we run a farm at home, so there are always chores to do. 6 dogs, 2 sheep, 11 turkeys and 39 chickens... all need to be fed and watered and tended to. Plus, the house needs to be cleaned, and I often have to do repair work to the cars, the fences, etc. it's a never ending battle.
My husband thinks I am nuts because I get up at 5AM sometimes, but honestly, that's jsut so I can drink a cup of tea in silence and read my emails!!

I get enough "me" time. I work Monday-Fridays 9-5:30 pm. After that I either work out or go home. I Usually don't plan anything for the weekends so that I can just relaz since I have them off.

Uggg. I started a new job a few weeks ago and my 'me' time has been cut in half. I'm super busy when I get home and by the time I finish everything I need to do, I'm exhausted. I used to be getting daily 'me' time, but that doesn't happen often anymore. My hubby goes to a friend's house at least once or twice a week, but I was getting more time when I wasn't working full time. I'm just a person that has always depended on having some time to myself.

I don't get very much "me Time". I work 12 hour days, Saturday, every other Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Those days when I'm home all I want to do is sleep I'm so tired. The days I'm off I seem to be playing catch up. Doing the household chores I was to tired to do the days I was working. Doing errands. Spending time with my two daughters and two grandchild. Trying to find time to see my parents. Some times I feel like I don't have time to breathe. Let alone "Me Time".

I usually have me time in the morning, get up at 5:30, my other half gets up at same time but he leaves for work at around 6 am, so I have an hour and half til I leave for work. We get home around the same time, but I hike every evening with my dog, so another hour of me time. But, the best time of my day is after the walk, and shower, things wind down and laying next to him watching a little tv is the best time of my day. I enjoy our 'us' time because he works in law enforcement and is stationed in another city, and I work for the forestry as a wildland fire fighter, so we never know when he may be stuck for days (like last Valentine's Day due to snow storm) and I never know when I'll be paged out for a fire (on call 24/7) and next year I'll be qualified to be sent out west for fires. So, me time is not that important to me, I get enough and 'us' time means more.

Well, my life is and always has been pretty hectic what with working full time and raising 4 children single. I know just what you mean....I so very much appreciate my "me time". Currently, I work full time 4 days a week from 2pm until 11:30 pm. I get up mon-fri. at 6:30am and get make sure my 13 yr old gets off to school ok. Thankfully she does pretty well on her own but occassionlly oversleeps and misses the bus in which case,i get to play busdriver. I grab a coffee, shower, pick up my house a bit and run across town to spend the day caring for my elderly mom by 9:30am. I do this daily until 4pm except for the days I work...then I only there until 1:45 pm.
On my days off from my paid job, I leave my mom's and run and grab what we need for supper and run home. Often times my daughter needs a ride here or there. She is also into sports. Then there is dinner to cook, the clean up, bills to pay etc. I do have a boyfriend who thankfully has a mountain of patience because there is very very little time left to spend with him. and for me time? oh I am greatful for every minute of it.

I have very little me time, or you must think of folding clothes as me time. That is the only tme when I am alone. I have 3 children a big house and a hubby. So all the work with the house and the kids keep me busy almost all day. My really alone me time is when I sleep, and I only sleep 4 to 5 hours a night
