Liver transplant experience

October 21, 2007 5:44pm CST
I had a liver transplant six years ago, because of Hepatitis C from a blood transfusion. I have had good luck with it so far, inspite of a few problems. I would love to share experiences with anyone.

good on for you about 40 years ago when they were doing the very first transplants i had my daughter in Denver hoping she would get one . she was born with no bile ducts and she lived until she was 27 months old. At that time they were only doing babies/children as the adults were not surviving. I am pleased to see that it is now done and you were able to benefit from it Robin

I have had numerous problems with my bile duct. I have stents in it now, because it kept clogging it up. They put this tool, with all kinds of gadgets on the end, down your thoat, thru the stomach, and into the intestine, where they go into the bile duct with the stents. Real fun. Sorry about your daughter.
