Hello! In childhood I had the used to write poems, but then didn't get time. I don't like reading poems books and I never do that. But I just read poems on net by my friends. What about you? Do you like writing poems? Or do you love reading them? If you write poems, can you post a poetry here for us to read?

I never write any poem before. I read and recited poems when I was in primary school. When my son, nieces and nephews were small kids I liked to read poems to them. They enjoyed reading poem aloud. I was quite happy to see them challenged each other in reciting poems. They would cheer and jump wildly, if one of them could recite a newly learnt poem fluently. Of course I would encourage him or her by telling them an interesting fairy stories.

Listening and watching kids cheering, jumping wildly and reciting poems with action really looks cute and fun too. Thanks for responding!

I am a poet and so I write poem normally. You could have noticed here also! Mostly my poems are posted at gather... You can visit there: http://www.writwing54.gather.com Here also I am putting one poem: The Wings (1) Wings are like that: If you have Then you can fly If not You can see Other’s flying wings, Enjoy their flight But You can’t cut Anybody’s wings! (2) Surroundings have flapping wings And the eyes have flying rings! Building up a live bridge Between the earth and the sky And welcoming The chariot of the Sun! (3) It’s amazing flight: Facing and penetrating the wind Churning the surrounding Cultivating the sky Turning playfully It was a bird And wings were proving the existence! (4) When wings are resting The possibilities of the flight Continuously flying in surrounding! Whoever knows these hidden facts Are expanding their flights Others are just flying around… (5) Dim and shadow like light of the wings Inside me Inside you Deep thirst for flight As an inner stream And it’s rippling cry Silently arousing… .. But has the dim And shadow like wings’ real light! (6) When wings are spreading The sky opens colorfully When wings are flapping The flowers blossom When wings are expanding The world moves amazingly When wings are taking flight The earthen fragrance infuse freely When wings are multiplying The earth becomes bird! (7) Wings and wings: Small wings, big wings; Long wings, wide wings; White wings, black wings; Where ever your sight goes Flying wings and wings: Wings after wings, Wings over wings: The earth’s abundance wings!

I write lots of poems. I read them, too, but not as much as I write them. Reading kills poetry in my opinion; I like spoken word much better. What is odd because I write chapbooks and have a speech impairment, which makes spoken word work hard for me.

I write poems from about four years, but I write in Italian so it's very difficult to post some poems here on MyLot. I have published two my poems on two anthologies and some days ago I recevied two contracts from two editors that want to publish a book with my poems. I like to write poems, it's a way for speak about myself and my feelings. I tryed to translate some poems in English for publish them here on MyLot but I don't think it's the same like read them in Italian.

I really enjoy to read poems. I have a few poets that I like more than others and have their books or collections. I also enjoy writing poems although my style is a bit unusual:) I have books and books filled with my own poems and short stories and sometimes I go trough all of them remembering things I wrote long ago :)

Yes I do. Poems is the expression of your inner romance in words and music is poem in motion.
