I have no idea what my daughter is going to be, her very first halloween she was tigger from Winnie the Pooh. It was so CUTE! Then she was Minnie Mouse also very cute, but as soon as she was old enough to tell us what she wanted to be she has been a Princess. Barbie Princess then snow white. Now she is torn between being Cinderella or a witch. We are going to get her costume after school tomarrow and I will send pics after Halloween but I was just wondering what everyone elses little or big kids are planning on dressing up as.

My oldest daughter, who is eight this year, has started going down the path of scary Halloween costumes. She wants to be the Grim Reaper this year. Last year she was the devil and the year before that she was actually a faerie. My other daughter, now seven, wants to be a cat this year for Halloween. Last year she wanted to go as a witch and a princess so we found her a little Renassiance Witch costume and turned her into a witch princess! She loved it and it turned out to be a big hit!

Really I was kinda thinking about trying to mix princess and and Witch some how and see what we could come up with and now what someone else said it I might actually give it a try. Was it a lot of work? Thanks for the comment.

Not at all! The costume that we bought actually had a headpiece in it that was a veil with a jewel in the middle of it and so it got called her "crown" and all we did was outline her eyes in black eyeliner and give her ruby red lips!

Hi BinKsBaBy,
This will be my 16 month olds 1st year trick or treating. She picked out the Tigger costume herself and I was very happy as I love Tigger too! We're really excited about taking her!

My daughters are older and one wants to go as a devil and the other an angel. Fits them both actually. I try to find costumes that have the things that go on the head and then we used things we have at home or I can whip up for the costumes. The hair spray they have now is great to change hair color but if you have a pure blonde be careful. My oldest daughter was a pink bunny one year and wore a pink footie sleeper with rabbit ears and a cotton tail and I sprayed her hair pink. The pink didn't wash out and so she wore a lot of pink for many months after that until it finally grew out. To this day she will not put spray on color on her hair and she is 23*L* Good luck with the costume I remember the days when they were little with such fond memories.

My son has a choice of two costumes to wear, Spiderman or Ninja Turtle and he has not decided on which one to wear (mostly likely the Spiderman one). This will be the first time for us to partake in Halloween, should be fun!

My daughter is 7. She really wanted to be something scary this year. She first wanted to be a mummy and then a ghost. We finally found a costume for both and she didn't like them.
We ended up getting a little creative yesterday and made her a tree costume. It ended up being really cute. The trunk is going to be a cardboard box painted brown. It goes to about her knees and then she will have brown pants on. The tree part we cut out of cardboard, painted it green and then cut out all different colors of leaves. We had fun making it too!

Hi binksbaby. My daughter has 2 outfits that she can choose from. One for the day and the other for the night or whatever she wants. One is a raggedy anne outfit(its complete with the hat and red hair),the other is a fairy witch that has oranges, pinks, greens, black, glitter and sparkles, with the hat too.Shes sooo cute in this one,but it itches her and she as to wear alot of clothes under it,not like the other one.My daughter went as cinderrella last year and always tripped over her dress and that,it was hard going up stairs, but she managed it.Hehe.Ohhh!Minnie mouse is sooo cute on a litle girl!

Really those both sound so cute. Yeah mine tripped a few times too last year in the full snow white costume because it was a long dress but she managed to make it home with no lost candy. LOL. And yes minnie mouse was soo cute she had smeared her black eyeliner that we used for her nose by the time she fell asleep on the way home but it was a very cute year. Also the last year that we got to eat all her candy for her too. =( the good old days!

Lol.Last year my daughter was 3 1/2 and she knew daddy was home waiting,so she hid some candy in my van and went inside and hid her box of goodies in her room, hahaha. He came in and asked for a"little",she said "no papa, thats mine!I worked hard for this!".I never laughed so hard in my life!!!!After she was always changing the place of her box so he could not find it,but mommy could know.Heheheh,nananana!papa.;)

Hi BinksBaBy,
Since my daughter is sixteen, she won't be dressing up this year. She and her friend, are planning on helping to give out treats here, if she doesn't have to work. When she was younger, she had many different costumes. Some of them were, clown, puppy, gypsy, Snow White, Pocahontas, old woman, etc.
My next door neighbour's little girl, who I babysit, is going to be 'Spiderman,' proving that it's not just a costume for boys. She came over on the weekend, all excited to show me her costume.
I hope you were able to get something great, for your daughter.:)

By the way, I'm not trying to say that there's anything wrong with sixteen year olds wearing costumes. It's just that she's not going trick or treating, or to any parties, this year.

Belle is a great costume. My daughter used to love her too. It's nice that you and your daughter can have fun with the makeup. This will be a special memory for you, one day.
My daughter doesn't have to work tonight, so now, two of her friends are coming over to help hand out treats, have pizza, and watch a movie. Thanks, I am very blessed that my daughter and I have a good relationship.:)

Awww, thats so cute the little girl being spiderman! And luck for you that your teenager will stay home with you LOL, so many cant stand their parents. My daughter was Snow White last year and now she has picked out Belle, from beauty and the beast. She looked so cute in it at the store. we agreed that I will do her hair and makeup for halloween. I think that maybe part of why she picks princesses so much for the fun of getting to wear makeup. On weekends if we are going shopping she will ask me to do her makeup, so I always take a very light shimmery eyeshadow nd put it on her and "pretend" to do her eyelashes and let her wear a lip gloss. She gets so excited, so I have found when she starts misbehaving I can tell her you better be good or no makeup this weekend and its been working pretty good!

My kids and Grandkids are so excited when it comes to Halloween. My son is going to be Spiderman. My grandson is going to be The Thing from the fantastic 4. I have two grand daughters that are about the same age also. One is going ot be an elephant, it is the cutest outfit you have ever seen with the trunk and all. My other grand daughter is going to be a penquin, they are both soo adorable! Then w also have a butterfly, a baby duck, a Freddy Kruegar and a Jason even...I am passing out candy at the house. To me, trick or treating is nothing like it use to be. I remember running around the neighborhood with a pillow case FULL of candy, just within 3 hours of trick or treating. Now a days, no one is home, everything looks desserted.....But trusting people is a lot different than it us to be. We only take our kids to places that we know.

Yes I know what you mean about the trust issue, we are doing our own neiborhood and my daughters great grandparents neiborhood (as we know most the families) its mainly older couples but the younger families in that area do really nice decorations and some haunted houses so we always go over there plus then she can show her great grandma and grandpa her costume. Also this really large shopping center always does a trick or treat around 5 where all the stores give out candy. I still check all the candy but atleast I feel I can trust it much more. have a fun halloween!
