Does your cat sleep on your lap?

Before we got our new kitten, my big female cat would curl up in my lap and take a nap, for hours on end, while I worked on the computer. But, now that the kitten is here, she has lost her favorite nap spot.
Now the new kitten has started taking naps on my arm while I work on my computer. And, though it's adorable since he's just a baby, I'm sure that it will make typing almost impossible once he gets heavier.
Does your cat or kitten do that too? Where is your cat's favorite place to take a nap? Does their nap location disturb your time online?

I have a cat before that goes with me anywhere. He always comes with me and sleeps on my lap. When he's gone, my other new cats aren't that attached to me, or I think. Earlier this day, while I am reading the Cat who Came to Breakfast, a novel by Lilian Jackson Braun, my cat walked to me and stood on my lap. Next, he put his head on my thigh and made it his pillow, and after some minutes, he slept on my lap. It is so fun to watch him sleep on my lap, it makes me remember my departed cat.

That is a very sweet story. It makes me think about my big cat (his name is Big Man). He is not a real cuddler cat. He likes to be alone mostly or at least sit in the room on his own chair. He likes to be doted on sometimes, but not often. Once awhile back when I had not seen him for awhile, he jumped up on my lap and laid down. I will never forget it. I felt such a bond with him at that moment. I had thought he was mad at me, but I guess not. Things are better between me and him now. Cat's are the most amazing intelligent little people. Don't you think?

My cat does the same as you described. She loves to curl up on my lap while I am working online. She will also sleep on me while I am watching movies in the evenings. If she doesn't do that, she will curl up right next to me and actually WATCH television.

My big female cat (EB) does the same thing. Or, at least she did. She was really good company. Sometimes when the kitten is not around, she will sneak back to me and nap in my lap.

I do not have pet cats or kittens, but I do visit and feed several cats around my estate. One of them is like a pet to me, because she will respond to a name I give her, come running to me and sit with me on the park bench as long as I am there. Sometimes, she will sit or lie on my lap, other times on the bench. People walking by finds it queer when they see the cat feeling so comfortable on my lap. I think this cat considers herself my pet as in the more privileged cat around the estate. She doesn't like it when other cats come near when I am there with her. I enjoy the closeness I share with her, and I think it is reciprocal as far as this cat is concerned.

Hello. My cat missy likes to take her naps in the basement window.I made a walking ramp for her to walk on that leads to a corner wall with a big bed and has another ramp that goes up more to the window sill. She sleeps there alot or on the top of the back of the couch or recliner chair. She prefers the ramp bed more, hehe.Tiger sleeps under the top comforter on the bed in the spare bedroom.my daughters cinderella soft pink chair, inside the hallway closet in the slipper box or in the dogs bed.But prefers the spare bedroom bed more.I guess its softer and more quiet as shes older alot.

lol i wish my cat would be cute and sleep on my lap, shes a little terror and wont sit still for a minute, she does climb onto my lap and kind of lies across my chest and shes malting at the moment so i end up sneezing and she runs off digging her claws in as she goes, she likes attention but likes to be played with rather than sat still on your lap.
