I'm in a quandry! What should I do?

About a month ago, I took a mini-vacation from My Lot to pursue other better paying opportunities online. And, so far it's paid off. The other opportunities don't take too much time out of my schedule, but they pay much better than posting.
With that being said, I love posting on My Lot. It's true, that we don't get paid that much, but there are other benefits. I'm always amazed at the valuable feedback and advice that I receive from other members. And, I feel like I'm connected to a huge network of people around the world and actually belong. Not to mention that my nail biting compulsion and stress level always disappears when I post regularly.
So, now I'm in a quandry. Should I spend more time at the thing that makes money for me? That would mean less time on My Lot. Or, do less of the thing that makes money and come back to My Lot more, even though it doesn't pay so much? If given the choice, what would you do?

First of all, I was wondering what it is you are doing to make money online? I am a housewife in desperate need of making some real money from home as getting a "real job" is just not possible for the time being. As for your question, if it were me, I would have to go for the money, but at the same time, money doesn't buy happiness so if the money isn't that important, whatever makes you happier, I would go for!

I'm sort of in the same position as you. Since I took my job a few months ago I haven't had nearly the time I used to to spend on MyLot. While I missed having good conversations on here I've really enjoyed the money I've been making with my job and doing something for my community. For me I feel it's more important for me to be doing my job and contributing to my community then to be on MyLot all the time. I do peek in here every now and then to see what's new and to check on my friends. It's always good to see familiar faces like yourself that come around every now and then.

I think you need to balance between the two...mylot and other paying site. I would suggest you not to leave either of the two, since you wish to earn quick bucks. You can divide your time in an opporpriate ratio for logging on to mylot and other sites.
You would agree with me that you cannot get the fun which you enjoy at mylot, at any other site. Atleast, I could not enjoy myself bettter than mylot on any other site.

I have a couple of sites that earn me more money also. I think the thing we have to learn is to manage our online time. I appreciate the input I get here and the friends I've made and of course the money but like you say if we can make more money elsewhere we will go there too. My other sites don't offer the "comraderie" that mylot does and I don't think there is any other site that does. I don't think you should have to make a choice between one site or the other...just manage your time better. Good luck!

Hello beautyqueen26,
Well, you made it clear to me by now why I didn't see so many e-mail notifications from you for the past few weeks (in fact, I was also a bit slow here for the past two weeks after my husband came back home) Back to your question, I think it depends on your priority. If making money (for the sake of contributing additional income for the family) is your priority, I think it is advisable for you to spend more time at the other site. Maybe, when you are a bit free, you can log on here for an hour or two. Just keep in touch with all of us here and at the same time, earning money for your family too.

Good you've got a good paying job better than this. Can you share it with us. As I was saying before, what you earne from my lot is not earning, it is the joy and the experience we are having while exchanging ideas. I suggest that you just divide your time, maybe one hour to mylot and one hour to your new job. If have much time 2 hours for my lot and 2 hours for your new sideline. You can learn from here and it can help in your job. Dont discard my lot. Goodluck

I would spend time on what makes more money for me and come and visit every now and then. I don't blame you. I'm not as active as I once was either I have found other paying opportinites also. I do still visit in here though also just not as much as I use to.

I try to spend a little bit of time on mylot almost every day. Not for the pay (I haven't even made $2 this month), but because I like talking to adults. lol
I don't spend very much time on mylot most days anymore. I tend to spend more time on sites that I make more money on, too.
I would try to reach a happy medium if I was you. Just spend at least a few minutes a day on mylot everyday. But spend most of your time on the other sites. Maybe that will help keep you sane.

I guess it depends. If I really need the money and don't have much time, I would have to focus on money making. I would log in now and then for my friends' discussions but that's it. On the other hand, if I have spare time and my worries over money is taken care of, I would be here more often. You do have a life outside mylot.

Which one do you enjoy doing the most? I would choose that one. If its because money is the motivation then do that one.
We miss you on here though, I like your discussions!
