Has this ever been the case with you? As a parent of a special needs child this has often happened to me and today I am happy so I just had to share my happy moment with my friends today!! :) Since the beginning of school my son has been getting picked up at 12 today he gets to stay for the whole outdoor play time...I will pick him up at 12:25. As time goes on they are going to increase his day by an hour at a time utill he is going the full day! I think this is a great start for him! :) Now all we have to do is work on getting him more EA support! So, do you have something that needs to be shouted from the roof tops? If you do I would love to hear your stories here! I am sure I will have even more to share with you in the days to come! Have a great day!! ~Heavens~

I am happy to hear that your son is doing well in school! I can shout because I have an adorable new grandson! He is about 2-1/2 months old right now. He is a sweet, cheerful, healthy boy and we are fortunate because his mother is high-risk for pregnancy. She lost a baby last summer so we are so happy to have little Louis!

That is great news for you! I am helping my sister with her school, and we have children who have special needs. I feel for them and their parents. I too feel very happy when I see their accomplishments and it is a very wonderful feeling. These special-needs children are angels on earth. God bless.

Thanks so much for your heartfelt response kuirks! :) I too worked with special needs children before the birth of my son and it was very challenging and yet rewarding work! :) They truly are Angels on Earth...My son brings me much joy although a challenge at times...We love him very much and there have been many occasions where we have wanted to shout from the roof tops including blowing out a candlke, drinking from a straw, combining two words together, walking, and several other achievments along the way...He has a long way to go buyt we see great progress in this last year or so! We are very proud of him as he works so hard!!:) Thanks again and God bless! ~Heavens~

I don't know much about your son, his age or his problems, but my son had a lot of problems in school and you are right...what would be a little step for us is a major accomplishment for these kids. keep up his praises..he has a long road ahead and so do you, but you will be proud of so many things that other parents take for granted.

I agree with you Deb! My son will be 4 1/2 at Christmas and he is doing great at school...He has Autism but is verbal but still needs EA Support. We have had many triumphs in the past such as driking from a straw, blowing out a candle, putting words together in sentences, walking, etc.... All things that other parets take for granted but huge mile stones for our guys! :) Thanks so much Deb!! Have a great day! xxx ~Heavens~

Hi heavenschild, This is good news, indeed! I'm so very happy for your son, and am glad to hear of your excitement, due to this. I'm sure he'll be 'a full time student,' before you know it. I do pray that you're able to work something out with the EA situation. As for me having something 'to shout from the Roof Tops,' I 'actually' had lunch with my older brother, and my sister-in-law, earlier this week, and it went really well. This is 'something special' given our family history together, as we've been through some hard times, relationship wise, as well as others. I hadn't seen them since last winter, and they only live ten minutes or so away from us, by car. Take Care. xxx

Of course he loved it Grandpa! He's outside playing for that extra half hour ! LOL what boy wouldn't love that! :) With his limited speech tonight when I got home from work he was mentioning friends names and recess as well as his teachers name and EA...I know he loves school and I will be happy when he is finally there a full day! Thanks so much for sharing in this with me! Your family is certainly worthy of shouting about...I have high family ideals also! thanks so much for your response here my friend! HUGS ~Heavens~
