Analog Controller vs Guitar Controller

Yesterday, I was in my Uni game room playing Guitar Hero 2 and people were shocked to see me play using the Ps2 controller- on expert! Around here the controller is famous for being easier than the guitar while on Easy or Medium, but then it becomes harder than the guitar on Hard and Expert. I explained to them it was a matter of habit (At home we have 1 guitar, but both me and my brother play. Someone's gotta use the Analog). So, any of you out there ever played Hard or Expert using the Analog???

Yes, analog controller is more difficult than the guitar on expert mode. I can play the guitar on expert mode. Then I remembered I used to use the controller for DDR and it was easier, so I tried it for GH, and failed miserably. I think practicing it does help overall hand-eye coordination because with practice your brain has to "rewire the programming" in your fingers to respond in a different way. Anyways, congrats. If you can beat Misirlou or Hanger18 on expert with the analog controller, I will be even more impressed, haha.

I can "beat" misirlov using the analog (I put it in quotes because I only get 3 stars). Hanger 18? Forget it.....I keep failing :( Need more practice I guess.

Man you got some skills on that analog controller. I usually use the guitar controller but now i might have to try the analog.

Believe me it was hard practice. Star power is the select button...it's very uncomfortable. And when you get a lot of multiple same notes at a time, it gets very difficult on the fingers to keep the speed up. I do play with the Guitar (Hard level. one level below my Analog play), and I will say that Analog is much worse on the fingers.
