The Most Classical Batsmen in Modern times....

Some batsmen are loved to be watched again and again. Their foot work, timing, shot selection everything is almost always accurate. They do play shots as an art-work. They represent the qualities of a true batsmen. Their are totally classic all the way though. Some cricketers, I remember, that are truely classical are: Mark Waugh Mohammad Yousuf Sachin Tendulkar Brian Charles Lara Ricky Ponting Rahul Dravid Jack Kallis etc Who u think is the most classical modern batsmen??

your selection of classical batsmen is very good! David gover of england is also a classical batsman, but i'm not surprised to see him in your list since he belongs to bit older generation. I think Rahul Dravid is a real classical bats man, in fact he is too classical that he some times forgets to play a shot out side the coaching book.

Yes you are right that David gover of England was also a classical batsman but here is topic of modern time means after 2000 year..

I like Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar. His power is Great Eye-Contact. It looks like a real TIGER.... And moreover if you could have seen his game, he rarely plays a loose or wrong shot. Timing was perfect and the shot too stylish and touchiee...

Mohammad Yousuf - Classical Mohammad Yousuf
Sachin Tendulkar is really one of the classical batsmen. I particularly like his straight drive. He does it with ease and perfection.

I would vote for brian charles lara, becase he is more suitable for the classic, i.e. test version of the game and a stylish player too and has class and temperament.

hi dr, in my view most classical batsman of modern era are sachin ramesh tendulkar,rahul dravid,ricky ponting,md. yusuf,b.c lara,jaques kallis ,etc.rahul dravid is the most contemporary batsman of this era

I would recommened most Classical Batsmen in Modern time Ricky Ponting, Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, Mohammad Yousuf and Kallis, Fleming, Lara, Gibbs too. These all batsmen able to play at any condition and howmuch pressure they are just able.

My unanimous choice would be Rahul Dravid for his temparment and class that he has shown at internatioanl level.Right now i donno what to say about his form ?
