The English Language!

Ok it sounds like a silly thing to say but here goes either youll be with me on this or ill be left on the sidelines like the High School Outcast as you all look on and laugh! Certainly writing an entire book is a daunting task and sometimes its knowing where to start but the problem to me is I wonder, even though it is apparently my mother tongue and all Im afraid I dont actually know enough about the english language. All that punctuation and grammar is worrying will I be able to write something semi decent without it looking like a High School essay. Do you think you should plough on regardless and learn as you write or read up on what you dont know first? That could take some time!

Writing is like any other skill. The only way you can get better at it is to do it. So, by all means, plow on. The best method is to write every day. It doesn't have to be much, but you should write something. Even a page or two a day helps. All the study in the world won't make you better without the practice you get from simply sitting down and writing.
