Black role models

I wonder and this is inspired by another post I read earlier, are there any role models to be found in the world of hip hop? There was an article in the newspaper the other day that said young black british men dont have enough positive black role models. The people they aspire to be like are those people whose music they listen to. And when that music is talking bout dealing drugs, shooting people, treating women like hos etc etc is that a good thing to aspire to? You hear artists saying time and again its just the music its not real life but for the majority of them it was life at one time. Some are now astute business men for sure look at jay Z and P Diddy but even the way they live their life with lavish spending and the attitude they can buy anything they want is not in my mind all that positive. Its like do whatever you got to do to get that money and you can be like me. So who are the people that young black men can look up to and want to be? Sports stars? Politicians?
