I am planning to write some articles on the web. I have been advised against using my real name because of privacy, stalking and I am not sure what was be hind some of the other reasons like "you don't want your name all over the web" Would you or do you use your real name as your by line. Why? or Why not?

i don't usually use my real name in writing on the web. my reason is simple. i just don't want to embarass myself. lol. it's because if someone i personally know reads the stuff i've written on the web, it's kinda awkward and embarassing...^_^

generally speaking, i dont use my real name in website. first, it is unnecessary to do so. then, i dont think my real name is such a good name, so why not choose a better name. finally, i dont want my friend know it's me when they read something i write.
so, use a pen name, you can do what you want to do without consider so much about the consequence. i like that.

I always use my first real name and usually throw in my moms maiden name at the end. I don't know why I do this I guess it's all a privacy thing or maybe its just I don't want to be embarass on what I'm writing but either who knows.
