Interests - Different Names for Same Thing

I was going through my interests, adding a few to them, and thought about something. I put in 'dixie chicks' as a music group that I listen to. If someone else put in 'the dixie chicks' they would not list them under the same heading. I also noticed it for 'joke' and 'jokelot' and 'funny jokes'. There needs to be a way of consolidating the interests to make sure that enough people get listed under the right ones.
