How did you become a Guster fan?

I first saw Guster when they opened for John Mayer in 2004. I'd never heard of them until I read on the ticket that they were the opening band. Went onto their website and listened to some of their songs and thought, hmmm, they're not bad. When I went to the show, I couldn't believe how much I loved their music! Ended up becoming a bigger fan of theirs than I was of John Mayer's. A few months later, I went to another show where they were playing with Rufus Wainwright and Ben Folds. Again, it was great. Afterwards I waited to meet them where their tour bus was parked, along with a small group of fans. Adam and Joe came out to sign autographs and allow us to take pictures. They couldn't have been nicer. Rufus came out too, and he was brilliant also.
One more chance to see Guster live came after I moved to the UK. They played in a very small club in Manchester where I was able to get right up to the front of the stage! It was amazing. A real treat came before the show began when I spotted Brian sitting on a pinball game waiting to do the sound checks. Got my courage up and introduced myself. He was very nice as well. All in all it was a great experience.
So, how did you become a fan?
