What is the minimum salary in your country?

I have been thinking about this lately and it got me curious. It's not a secret that our country is known as a poor one and we, Romanians, know it best. Life is hard and we have to struggle to have a decent life. Here, the minimum salary is about 125-130 $ and the prices are madly rising each season.
What is the minimum salary where you live and is it enough to have a decent life?

In Indonesia, I think the current minimum salary in a big city is around the same as in Romania. And yes, it IS tough on the Indonesian people as well. However, if you've worked a long time and you've shown good career track and you get a raise, then it's possible to live decently, even though nowadays when you have a kid or kids, it's getting harder and harder to fund their education 'coz good education isn't free in Indonesia. It's VERY expensive. Nowadays both husbands and wives work full-time to support their family 'coz it's hard to survive on one income if you've got a kid or more than one kid already.

I didn't know that education isn't free in Indonesia... Not even the first 8 years? Here, the government supports education until the 8th or 10th grade and moreover, it's compulsory, so willingly or not, kids go to school until they go to high school.

Well, only recently it's become free in public schools for the first 9 years. However, they're not the good schools. So if you want your kids to learn in good schools (so that they can go to good universities/colleges and so that it'd be easier for them to get a good career), you have to pay and these days it's not cheap.

Living in the philippines can be quite expensive. Also it is not easy to just get a house or invest on something with that amount. Sigh.

Herein south india the minimum labour charge per day forone person whether layman if healthy to d ophysical works can earn upto one hundred and fifty rupees if gentle man and if women twenty upees lesser. I think its enough for them towards their physical strain on a particular tradeo job as temporary.

do you mean minimum salary a month?
well in the Usa and COlorado specifically, minimum wagge is $6.85 an hour. before you go say that's alot. living in America is EXPENSIVE you can't possibly live here making that kind of wage. You would have to get maybe another job on the side just to have enough money to pay bills.
I'm thinking of working at Mcdonald's making $6.85 an hour, saving my money for 2 years and moving to Romania so i can be rich lol

Yeah, you would have a dream vacation here with that money... Wow, that would be about 1100$ a month, almost 10 times our minimum salaries...
I guess you should think about the possibility of moving here for a while lol.
